After receiving from a one-year ban, Ryan Garcia’s expectations about his return were glorious, but the reality was different. He faced Rolly Romero at Times Square, New York, for a much-anticipated welterweight bout that thrilled boxing fans. Romero won the fight by unanimous decision, and viral sparring videos confirmed his carefully crafted game plan was extremely effective throughout.

Garcia and Romero were sparring partners with their videos dating back to 2017, where a young ‘King Ry’ was seen struggling. The videos have since gone viral where Garcia had no answers from Romero fighting style and heavy left hook. Coincidentally, during their recent fight, Garcia got dropped by a similar shot that had previously robbed him during the sparring session. 

It seemed like Romero knew about this and didn’t shy away from exploiting the same weakness of his controversial opponent. First want to Thank God for everything in every situation, I couldn’t do it tonight, I’m devastated and really sad that I fought the way I did. I just didn’t have it tonight felt off. I fought a lot to get here, as you know what I went thru last year was something a lot of people don’t come back from So I can see a victory for me in that. Congratulations to Rollies, Hell of a dude and great hearted person wish you nothing but the best.

Despite all this, Garcia remains an entertaining star, particularly with his fighting style and trash-talking abilities. In the current boxing landscape, fans are complaining about fights being boring and lacking finishes.
