The NASCAR garage was at North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend for the $1 million rewarding All-Star race. The defending winner Joey Logano had the best car of the day, and led over 139 laps but it was Joe Gibbs Racing Christopher Bell who came pout victorious as he was able take advantage of the promoter’s caution.

Joey Logano would have comfortably won the race if not for the caution as he had a solid lead over others. The decision from Marcus Smith changed everything, as the pit-stops gave Christopher Bell the advantage with the tiers and he was able make enough aggressive moves on the restarts, before Logano got his car back running on the speed.

Bells overtake and defensive moves against Logano wasn’t that clean. The No:20 Toyota driver didn’t hesitate ne aggressive, and use up the three times champion as $1 million was on the line. The Penske driver isn’t ready to let the JGR driver off the hook easily as he admitted that payback will be coming in the upcoming races.

Oh, I just race them the same way. That’s all it is. I mean, I used to never race for a million dollars, you know, I get it. But we race each other every week, and we’re like elephants, we don’t forget anything.

Joey Logano told Matt Weaver after the race.

The reigning champion is someone that has a pretty infamous track record when it comes to taking revenge eon his rivals. Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, William Byron and Kevin Harvick are some of the drivers that found themselves in the receiving end of payback from Logano, and none of these run-ins ended good for both drivers involved.

Joey Logano admits it hurts a lot to lose at NWS

In the same conversation, Joey Logano talked about his true feelings over the loss and how much he had to work during the dual with Bell. He revealed that the Toyota overtook him by running him up into the wall and if he was able to get back on the race, the TRD car would have gotten spun.

I did all I could do to hold him off, and he got under me and released the brake and gave me no option. Kind of just ran me up into the wall, and if I could’ve got to him, he was going around after a move like that.

Joey Logano said.

But Bell and his car was so good, with the traffic and tiers helping, so there was barely any chance of the Ford catching up. Other drivers not putting much pressure on the JGR driver also didn’t help him in the situation, leaving him frustrated and hurt.

I just couldn’t get back to him. Just too much to try to make up with the tire deficit. Just frustrated after you lead so many laps and the car is so fast and you don’t win; it hurts quite a bit.

Joey Logano added.

The veteran should use the frustration to his advantage in the upcoming race weekend at Charllotte, with a Coke 600 victory on the line. It would be an impressive show for the fans if Bell faces of against Logano just like this Sunday on the upcoming weekend, with no cautions to ruin the fun.
