Dominik Mysterio Pays Heartfelt Tribute to the Late Eddie Guerrero by Visiting His grave
The reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio recently stopped by Eddie Guerrero's grave in Arizona.

Last month, Dominik Mysterio said on the Intoxicados podcast that he’d planned on visiting Eddie Guerrero‘s grave when WWE would be in Phoenix for its taping of Monday Night Raw. A few hours ago, Dirty Dom posted a picture from Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery in Scottsdale, where he bestowed his Intercontinental Championship upon Guerrero’s resting place.
The Latino Heat was extremely close to Dom’s father, Rey Mysterio, back in the day. So much so that the Judgment Day would refer to Guerrero as “Uncle Eddie.” In fact, the current on-screen character that Mysterio has been playing for a while is quite reminiscent of Guerrero’s. The 28-year-old wanted to visit the late WWE legend’s burial ground ever since he won the IC title at WrestleMania this year.

At the namesake event, he dispatched his own stablemate Finn Balor, Penta, and then-champion Bron Breakker in a fast-paced Fatal 4-Way clash. Mysterio has been on a roll from that point on. He’s holding on to the title belt by doing whatever it takes to do so. After escaping the wrath of Penta when they were beefing for a while post-Mania, Dirty Dom seems to have found his mojo.
This past weekend at Money in the Bank, the San Diego native retained the IC title against AAA’s Octagon Jr. in an impromptu battle. Mysterio’s next major feud might be against multi-time world champion AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One has already issued a warning to Rhea Ripley‘s on-screen ex that he’s got him next.
Dominik Mysterio wishes Liv Morgan on her 31st birthday
Dominik Mysterio has a big reason to smile, as his on-screen girlfriend, Liv Morgan, turned 31 on Sunday. The modern-day Latino Heat posted a lengthy birthday greeting for his Güerita on X. Mysterio mentioned the long list of WWE achievements of Morgan, with the latter being the greatest women’s world champion of all time, as per Dom’s assessments.

Quite recently, the duo was at Netflix’s TUDUM event, where they kissed it out to a headline-grabbing follow-up. However, all is not well within the Judgment Day. Morgan is perturbed about Roxanne Perez‘s arrival in the group. The Prodigy is making her moves on Mysterio. The night Morgan returned to Raw after a three-week hiatus was when Perez was caught giving a gentle massage to Daddy Dom.
“Happy birthday to MY Guerita — the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time, the greatest 4-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, the greatest Crown Jewel Champion, and the greatest Money in the Bank winner! The list goes on! Felicidades, mi Guerita!” @YaOnlyLivvOnce pic.twitter.com/ypi3qJZHfh

Seeing it unfold in the Judgment Day clubhouse, Morgan decided to confront Finn Balor last Monday. She made it clear that she didn’t like the way Balor brought Perez on board. The New Jersey native also alluded to having lost her trust in The Irish Captor after what he’s been up to of late. It’s been rumored for months that the 43-year-old will eventually be separated from the faction that he recently completed three years with.
Balor joined it in June 2022 with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley as partners. However, the stable has seen a major overhaul in the past year, with The Prince being the only constant. WWE has teased tensions between Balor and Mysterio on numerous occasions, but they’re somehow hanging by a thread.
Rey Mysterio comments on Dominik Mysterio making his family proud
Back in August 2024, Rey Mysterio opened up on being a proud dad with his son making all the noise in WWE. During an interview with Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer said that he always had the feeling that Dominik Mysterio would be more successful in this business than the 50-year-old.

The Master of 619 added that Mysterio has made his family and peers feel at the top of their world. While Dom’s father has spoken highly of his son publicly, the on-screen Judgment Day brat has yet to break kayfabe as far as his ruling of the WWE legend being his deadbeat dad is concerned.
I’ve always known, deep down inside my heart that my son was going to be bigger than his father.

They got to feature in a singles match at WrestleMania 39, which was the first-ever bout of its kind at the grandest stage. Back then, a father schooled his outspoken son. It’d be interesting to see if they ever resolve their differences on WWE programming and revert back to amicable terms.
