In Short
  • Stefon Diggs was found not guilty of all charges by a jury in Norfolk County District Court.
  • His former chef, Jamila Adams, claimed he choked her over payment disputes but faced scrutiny during cross-examination.
  • A video of Diggs checking out Adams in court went viral, highlighting the public interest in the case.

Stefon Diggs is finally a free man after the jury at the Norfolk County District Court found him not guilty of all charges levied against him by his former personal chef, Jamila ‘Mila’ Adams.

The latter claimed that the former New England Patriots’ wide receiver had choked and assaulted her when she asked for her due payments.

She alleged that this all stemmed from his sending her home for a week when she was contractually supposed to work. Adams claimed that it was a breach of contract and sought payment.

However, during cross-examination, Diggs’ lawyers cornered her about receiving payments prior to the week when she was asked to leave.

But the story took a turn for the worse, for Adams at least, when she revealed that she and the 33-year-old football player were in an intimate relationship, and that she got the job as his personal chef based on that history.

Maybe that explains why the former fifth-round pick could not keep his eyes off her, particularly when he got the chance to look at her BBL. A video clip surfaced showing the pass catcher staring at her backside when Jamila Adams walked past him.

In fact, this video went viral primarily because of his effort to steal a glance. The Maryland Terrapin was facing the stands when the court was in recess.

When his former personal chef walked past, Stefon Diggs turned and leaned against the table. As he popped something into his mouth, the star could not help but stare downwards at Adams’ backside.

Stefon Diggs’ mother was the only person there to support him

When Jamila Adams revealed that she had an intimate relationship with Stefon Diggs, she also revealed that the former All-Pro had a relationship with another one of his employees.

On top of that, when Cardi B left, everyone realized it was due to his incessant cheating. The rapper had tried to support him through everything, but eventually felt it was too much for her.

The irony in this lawsuit is that none of the women Diggs has had a relationship with were there to support him at the district court.

The only figure close to him present at this lawsuit was his mother. When the wideout was captured showing his emotions after being declared not guilty, cameras inside the courtroom panned towards Stephanie Diggs.

She was visibly elated and asked a woman seated beside her if what she heard was true. Momma Diggs had her hands over her face, elated that her son was cleared of the charges brought forward. Knowing how this might have affected his football career, it was a mother’s sigh of relief.

Jamila Adams allegedly asked Stefon Diggs to pay her $5.5 million to recant claims

Stephanie Diggs had every right to be excited about the outcome of this trial. After all, not only were Jamila Adams’ claims damaging her son’s reputation, but she was also asking for a lot of money just to dismiss her claims.

Three weeks ago, your lawyer demanded $5.5 million from Mr. Diggs, didn’t he?

Stefon Diggs’ lawyer asked Jamila Adams

This was the lawyer grilling Ms. Adams about her lawyer demanding $5.5 million for her to drop her lawsuit. After a lengthy pause, the chef replied:

Mr. Diggs offered me $100,000 to recant my statement.

Jamila Adams said

As soon as she said this, Diggs’ lawyer went up to the judge and asked for her response to be stricken from the record for being non-responsive to the original question.

This was how most of the trial went as Diggs’ lawyers grilled Adams, and in most cases, she either responded with other claims or could not produce the evidence to support hers. That is why this trial ended so swiftly.
