It’s been more than two years since Kevin Harvick retired from the sport and the fans are missing the closer’ iconic move on the track. Recently on his interview with ex-teammate and Cup champion Tony Stewart, the veteran hinted at a potential come to race in one event.

The 2014 Cup Series champion is looking to make a comeback in the Truck Series, where he hasn’t raced since 2021, like “Smoke”. He does have condition for the comeback, as he is willing to race if his home track Kern Raceway hosts it. The veteran is one of the promotors of the track.

I vote for having a truck race at Kern. Run it there, let’s do that. If it’s at Kern, I’ll run the race.

Kevin Harvick said on his podcast.

The ex-SHR driver’s wife DeLenna Harvick didn’t knew about her husband’s wish to make a race return and she only got to know about it a social media post on X and she responded to It with a Giff. Kevin Harvick was asked about it earlier in the podcast by co-host Kaytlin Vincie and they had a hilarious interaction.

KH: I mean, look, I come up with some great ideas and sometimes I forget to tell my wife.

KV: It did say next season, not this season.

KH: No, yeah, not this year.

KV: Well, so that’s plenty of time to smooth this over with her.

KH: Yeah, that’s like one of the things, the least of my worries. That’s going to be low on the get in trouble list.

Kevin Harvick blasts race car manufacture’ over reducing horsepower

The reduction of Horsepower has been a common theme among motorsports’ series around the world, including NASCAR and Kevin Harvick is furious about it. On his podcast, he went on a rant over how the changes makes racing more costly for the team despite the goal being the opposite.

Every time we try to save money, we cost the teams more money. Every time we take power out, one horsepower, two horsepower at a time, is harder to find than it is when you have a more open rule book.

Kevin Harvick said via Speed with Harvick and Buxton.

He then shifted his focus to manufacturers, who are forcing the sanctioning bodies to make the tough choices to have features they can apply to their street cars. This isn’t something the real fans of racing wants, as they are seeking the thrills of speed and loud engines.

Screw the manufacturers and all the things that they want to do to have it apply to their street cars. The fans want to see things that are out of control go fast and loud, please.

Kevin Harvick added.

The comments from the former Cup Series champion are on point and is something majority in the racing community believes in. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the sport in the coming years with car designs and horsepower.
