Future Hall of Famer Kyle Busch passed away on Thursday after getting hospitalized in the morning due to severe illness. It shook the whole racing community, as just last week they were celebrating the two times champion for his Truck Series race winner at Dover Motor Speedway. The whole NASCAR community is mourning the death, including Brad Keselowski.
The aggressive rivalry between Busch and Keselowski defined NASCAR Cup Series in the 2010s. Losing his arch-rival at the young age of 41 was something that was hard for the RFK Racing owner driver to accept and he shared his feeling via a post on X. He highlighted how they pushed each other to the limit and deep down had respect for each other despite the beef.
I made him earn every victory and stole a few from him along the way. We took our shots at each other, in the media and on the track. But I’d like to think that somewhere deep down there was an appreciation that we pushed each other to perform at the highest level, even if neither of us would’ve admitted it.

Further talking about the point, Brad Keslowski made an analogy that just broke the fans heart. He admitted that he is feeling like a coyote with no more roadrunner to chase. The veteran Ford racer lost a rival that made him better, the sport lost one the most talented racers ever and Kyle Busch’s family lost their backbone.
Tonight, I feel a little like the coyote with no more roadrunner to chase. His loss is all of our loss, but none more so than his family’s. Thinking of Samantha, and Brexton and Lennix who lost their father today.
Brad Keselowski added.
Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon share emotional message on Kyle Busch
Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson shared his thoughts on the tragedy via X like the Ford driver. He was teammate with Busch, when the late racer was a rookie trying to establish himself and has witnessed the greatness of the driver firsthand. The LMC owner lost a great friend and great rival on Thursday.

Kyle Busch wasn’t just one of the fiercest competitors our sport has ever seen, he was one of the most talented race car drivers I’ve ever shared a track with… Kyle pushed all of us to be better. His passion, intensity, and love for racing were unmatched, and his impact on this sport will be felt forever… NASCAR lost one of its greatest talents today, and we’ve all lost a friend.

Another former teammate of the champion, Jeff Gordon also shared his thoughts on the loss. He admitted that he is devastated after seeing the news that the sport lost one of the most impactful racers that has ever been at a young age.
This is a devastating loss and one that is hard for the NASCAR community to process. Kyle was a fierce competitor who demanded the very best from himself each time he put on the helmet. As teammates, I saw firsthand the passion and intensity he brought to the sport every single day. He was a champion and prolific racer who made a tremendous impact on NASCAR…
