The whole NASCAR community is still finding ways to honor the legacy of Kyle Busch, after the two times Cup Series champion passed away at the age of 41 due to severe pneumonia and sepsis. Reigning champion Kyle Larson’s family has been at the forefront of some of these efforts and it has touched the fans.

After winning a dirt track race in Nebraska, the Hendrick Motorsports drivers daughter Audrey Larson did the iconic Busch Bow, paying her tribute to the legend. The veteran was asked about the gesture ahead of the Nashville race and he highlighted how happy as well as proud he is about the support shown by his family.

I was super happy that she thought of that, and then the next night she ended up winning, and that was cool to pay tribute to Kyle. It makes me proud to see that the kids understand the situation and are doing their part to support the family and honor Kyle.

Kyle Larson told PRN ahead of Nashville race.

Racing Kyle Busch as a racer and as a rival meant a lot for Kyle Larson. This was evident in his statement on social media, after the tragedy.  He recalled the memories he cherishes about racing alongside the 234 times race winner for more than a decade.

I have so many memories of great battles with him throughout my career that I’ll cherish forever…It’s hard to even put into words what he meant to me and my career, whether he knew it or not.

Kyle Larson wrote on X after the tragedy.

Furthermore, he admitted that Busch was the bar to measure for the majority of racers in the community as at the end of the day the veteran was a pure racer at his core. The racing family dynamic, same as the Larson, also created a special between them.

He was the bar we all measured ourselves against. Just a pure racer to the core. As real as they come. I hate this so much for their family, Samantha, Lennix, and especially Brexton. The bond Kyle and Brexton shared, and everything he poured into his racing and his family, was incredible.

Kyle Larson added.

Kyle Larson’s son Owen made his proud as well with his gesture at Charlotte

During the Charlotte tribute for Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson’s son Owen Larson touched hearts of the fans with a special move. He gave a hug to Brexton Busch and the moment of friendship was a proud dad moment for Larson. The veteran was really surprised his 11-yead old was able to understand the gravity of the situation.

When Owen went over there to put his arm around Brexton, that made me very proud of him. To see the emotion on Owen’s face when he came back over, it was also a proud moment because you don’t know how an 11-year-old is going to kind of grasp the situation and understand what has happened and the pain that they’re going through.

The comments from the veteran are on point and shows how he has been able to teach his children the importance of showing sympathy to people in challenging position. It would be interesting to see how Larson’s going to support the Busch family in the coming years.
