AJ Brown is finally with the team he has admired since his early days. This also means that his turbulent time playing alongside Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles finally comes to an end.

One Super Bowl win and another loss are achievements many Hall of Famers cannot say they have been able to do in their respective legendary careers.

Usually, winning takes care of things, but not in this case. Those accomplishments just helped pass the time, and now, the superstar wideout is finally in a place where he believes he will be happy.

The stale offense from the 2025 season was a major reason for his eventual departure, but so was his rumored strained relationship with his now former quarterback. Now, as he sat down with 7 PM in Brooklyn, host Maria Taylor asked AJ Brown about it.

Not as close as we once were, and I believe that’s fine. There’s no bad blood… I truly don’t understand why our friendship became the center of everybody’s attention when it came to football… We still competed; we still pushed each other … I’ll say it to you, I say it on camera, I got nothing but love for him.

AJ Brown replied

As a follow-up question, Taylor asked whether there was something that led to this fracture between the pass catcher and his QB.

Nothing happened… people just grow apart.

AJ Brown replied

The 28-year-old made it clear that, contrary to opinions and rumors, nothing happened between him and Hurts or their respective wives. It was just that they grew apart over the course of their time on the Eagles.

AJ Brown has had Patriots’ rug in his house while playing for Eagles

For this sit-down, the 7 PM in Brooklyn crew traveled to AJ Brown‘s house. Before they got into the details of what happened at the Eagles, a rug caught Maria Taylor’s attention.

Definitely a few years now… Some things never change. This is my team. This is my team since I was a kid. I was doing what I was supposed to be doing with the Eagles, but this is it.

AJ Brown replied

This was the Mississippi native confirming that he had bought the New England Patriots’ ‘Man Cave’ rug from Amazon a few years ago. Even though Taylor was surprised, a beaming Brown confirmed he had it the entire time he was with the Eagles.

Since the father of two had asked for a trade numerous times during his time in Philadelphia, Eagles’ fans could take this as a mark of disrespect towards the team that employed him.

However, Brown made it clear that the Patriots have always been his team, no matter where he was playing. It is only now that his dream of playing for them has come true.

AJ Brown ‘still in awe’ after Patriots’ move

Ever since he was a prospect, Brown dreamt of playing for the Patriots. Now that his dream has turned into reality, he is still in the midst of processing it.

Just talking to my mom, I was like, ‘I’m still in awe.’… I know this ain’t heaven, but it’s close to it.

AJ Brown told reporters

The three-time All-Pro revealed this exchange with his mother despite being a day into his life as a Patriot. Even though he has donned the famous blue, white, and red in practice, he still is coming to grips with the fact that he is playing for his dream team.

Having former head coach Mike Vrabel by his side will also be a major attribute in his quest to elevate them. Even the organization will be happier with Brown’s maturity, unlike the trouble-seeking diva they had in Stefon Diggs last season.
