Odell Beckham Jr. spoke to the media for the first time since re-joining the New York Giants earlier this week. The veteran wide receiver views this opportunity as a second chance provided by the Almighty.
Beckham played five years for the Giants before getting shipped to the Cleveland Browns. Brief stints at LA, Baltimore, and Miami—Beckham reunited with Gang Green on a one-year contract. Truth be told, he never wanted to leave the Giants and is glad he can once again wear the colors of the team that gave him a chance to experience NFL football. Beckham Jr. said:
All I ever wanted to do for this place is win… I never wanted to leave here. I [just] came from a school [LSU]—we lost on Saturday, our season was over, so I hate losing. I hate it. All I ever wanted to is win and that’s all I wanna do now.
During his first stint in New York, Beckham registered 390 catches for 5,476 yards and scored 44 touchdowns in 59 games. He was traded to the Browns in 2019. After 39 games, he was on the move once again, this time joining the Rams, where he won a ring.
OBJ missed the Super Bowl due to a leg injury, but he still received a winner’s medal. However, he would have preferred to win that ring with the Giants. He added:
Everybody wants to win a Super Bowl. Not coming in here to have a good season and get to the offseason. Like we always want to win a Super Bowl. That’s the goal but knowing that it takes a lot to do that—I have been there before, so we just be whatever can be for this team and be the best version of myself.

The Rams didn’t extend his stay, and he subsequently signed with the Ravens. In 2024, after 9 appearances, he was released by the Dolphins. He was without a club in 2025 until signing with the Giants this week.
Odell Beckham Jr. thanks God for giving him a second chance
Beckham, a two-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro wideout, is a religious man. He thanked God for reuniting him with the Giants once again.

At 33, there’s no guarantee how long he can continue to play football, but he wants to capitalize on this opportunity to win a ring.
God has given me one more opportunity to play. Whatever I do with that, is that. I’m not saying this is my only year, I’m not saying I’ve got 5 more for you. I’m looking at it like this is my opportunity now, and we’ll see where it goes from there.

Odell Beckham Jr. shared his honest thoughts about the Giants’ quarterback Jaxson Dart
The last time OBJ was in the New Jersey facility wearing blue, the Giants QB1 was two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning. A lot has changed since then. Manning has been denied entry to the Hall of Fame twice, Daniel Jones is balling out in Indy, and Russell Wilson just announced his retirement.
At present, the Giants’ starter is 2025 first-round pick Jaxson Dart. When reporters asked Beckham to share his honest thoughts about the second-year signal-caller, rather than commenting on the recent controversy, OBJ praised Dart for his play during his rookie season.
He’s very good… I watched him last year. He likes to have fun, he enjoys the game of football and that’s something great to see. He’s gotta [great arm] on him. Obviously, he’s got all the swag. Only connection we have is LSU beat the hell out of Ole Miss.
