The Cleveland Cavaliers were in the news for the wrong reasons after being swept by the New York Knicks. But in those four games, the only positive was when Taylor Swift sat courtside to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is a die-hard supporter of all Cleveland sports teams, even though he has to play against one of them a few miles from where he grew up.

Swift, on the other hand, is a passionate Knicks supporter. But this was a home game, which meant they were cheering for the Cavs as Kelce would like it.

She did not mingle with the Knicks fans and chose to sit alongside where the Cavs’ courtside seat-holders were. The game did not turn out the way her fiancé might have hoped, but at least their presence elated others.

Now, the Cavaliers are trying to make some money out of that appearance. The Realest, an auction site, has listed the very seat she sat in during that game.

Naturally, it would only have happened if Dan Gilbert, the owner of Rocket Arena and the Cavs, had agreed to such a move. In fact, Taylor Swift’s seat was not the only one up for auction.

The site also has Travis Kelce’s seat on their list, and also has the one Ben Stiller, Machine Gun Kelly, Timothee Chalamet, and Kylie Jenner sat in the final game of the series.

This is not something new, as the Cavs sold the seat assigned to LeBron James and Luka Doncic from their last home game against the Lakers. The King’s seat sold for $1905, whereas the Slovenian’s went for $950.

Fans lose their minds at shocking bids for Taylor Swift’s seat

Those two seats going for that much can be expected, considering there is no certainty of LeBron James’ future. The chair Timothee Chalamet sat in currently has a top bid of $106. His girlfriend’s is going higher at $295.

Ben Stiller’s is going for $385, whereas Machine Gun Kelly’s is at $265. The current top bid for Travis Kelce’s seat is $525. All of those figures, though, are trumped by Taylor Swift alone, as the current top bid is $6000.

There are six more days to go for the auction to end, which means the number could rise. But for basketball fans, this came as a shock. They felt that people bidding that much are proving how insane such things can be. Check out examples of those reactions below.

The bid for Taylor Swift‘s seat going for that much even led ESPN to talk about it, as such things usually go unnoticed. Maybe the highest bid covering all those celebrities, and that of the two Lakers’ superstars, probably caught their attention.

Taylor Swift’s appearance at Knicks game at Madison Square Garden could send fans into a tizzy

If this is the response Taylor Swift gets to her lone appearance at Rocket Arena, it is likely to be a lot more if the multiple Grammy Award-winning artist were to appear for one of the upcoming Finals games at Madison Square Garden.

Since Game 3 is likely to be a cordoned situation, the 36-year-old Swift could fancy herself appearing for Game 4. Anyways, she and Travis Kelce are set to be married at the iconic venue less than a month later.

If Kelce were to return the favor and support her Knicks, then the two seated courtside will send fans into a frenzy. There is no doubt about the draw the billionaire singer has over New York fans.

If the Knicks win their first championship in more than five decades, fans will probably bid a lot more than the $6000 they are bidding right now for a Cleveland Cavaliers’ seat.
