Oba Femi will find himself locked inside the sadistic Hell in a Cell structure with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Oba Femi kicked off this week’s Raw as the 2026 King of the Ring. After proclaiming that destiny was on his side, he got interrupted by a returning Brock Lesnar shortly into his promo. ‘The Beast’ hadn’t been around since handing Oba Femi his first pinfall loss on the main roster at Clash in Italy.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion congratulated Femi for winning the KOTR crown by calling it “a hell of a feat.” Lesnar stated he once wore that crown too many moons ago. The greatest combat sports athlete in WWE history had come to know through Paul Heyman that Oba Femi were to make an important decision for SummerSlam.

Lesnar also revealed that Heyman told him about Femi calling him by names behind his back. That didn’t sit well with the 48-year-old and he kicked ‘The Ruler’ in the balls. Lesnar followed it up with a thunderous F-5 and exited the ring with Heyman. As the two of them were on their way to the back, Femi got back up on his feet and wanted to end this cat-and-mouse chase for once and for all.

‘The Bringer of War’ challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam. Lesnar accepted with the condition that it’ll be held within the confines of Hell in a Cell. Shortly after that, Paul Heyman was seen imploring with the Raw GM Adam Pearce to make it official. Pearce was hesitant about pulling the trigger until he ran into Femi.

Pearce wanted to make sure that Femi was well within his senses and picking such a fight with Lesnar at SummerSlam meant he had to forgo his world title aspirations for the time being. Oba Femi affirmed that the titles won’t go anywhere and he could put them around his waist later on as well but his beef with Lesnar needed to be settled now.

The general manager was left with no choice other than ratifying Femi vs. Lesnar inside HIAC at SummerSlam. It’s going to be their third match this year. Femi decimated Lesnar at WrestleMania, which triggered a freak retirement from ‘The Conqueror’. Lesnar later realized that he wasn’t ready just yet to hang it up and he forced his way back to warrant a rematch with the Nigerian wrestler at Clash in Italy.
At the event, Lesnar attacked Femi before the bell rang and expended seven F-5s to finally tame ‘The Ruler’. Femi would then talk trash about Lesnar in the subsequent weeks and noted that they were far from being done.
It even led many believing that ‘The One In 21-1’ will screw Femi over in the King of the Ring finale at Night of Champions. However, it didn’t happen and Oba Femi dispatched Jey Uso to earn the crown, much to everyone’s delight.
Is Brock Lesnar retiring after Oba Femi showdown at SummerSlam?
Brock Lesnar is even with Oba Femi with both men holding wins over each other. Their upcoming showdown inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam will break the deadlock and could possibly be Lesnar’s last match in WWE.
It was reported right after ‘The Beast Incarnate’ had a premature retirement at WrestleMania that people within WWE were expecting Lesnar to call it a career in his hometown of Minneapolis at SummerSlam.

If that were the case and assuming Lesnar will most likely put Femi over in a major way at the Biggest Party of the Summer, there wouldn’t be anything left for him to do in the wrestling business. The 10-time world champion is a sure-shot WWE Hall of Famer with the kind of resume he boasts.
There could still be a possibility of the Saudi Arabian officials wanting Lesnar to be there at WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh. It would be interesting to see if Lesnar would want to hang around until next year and bow out after that long or will he be more tempted to retire in front of his own people in Minneapolis.
