It was quite natural, as fans and analysts believe the Los Angeles Lakers had given enough proof that they were not prioritizing the 41-year-old’s future. Moreover, when lead NFL insider Adam Schefter gets into the act of breaking NBA trade and free agency news, it is sure to leave football fans having to search for anything related to their respective teams.

Then, when the ‘King’ decided that his time with the Lakers was over, NBA Insider Shams Charania and Schefter’s posts combined to draw more than 50 million views.

That is the power one of the greatest basketball players ever has over the sports world. Then, when one factors in how he is an avid football fan and used to play in high school, some NFL teams could not resist the chance.
