WWE’s latest visit to Chicago for Raw began in-ring proceedings with Seth Rollins addressing his upcoming showdown with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. After criticizing ‘The OTC’ for not showing up this Monday, Rollins stated that Reigns has always been the chosen one since the beginning, no matter if he could cut a promo or wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag.

It didn’t sit right with Rollins because he truly believed since he was a little kid that putting in the hard work and making the necessary sacrifices would turn his dreams of becoming the biggest star in this industry into reality. However, seeing everything he dreamed of getting handed off to Reigns, who, in Rollins’ opinion, didn’t deserve it, broke ‘The Visionary’.

Rollins recalled Reigns telling him a couple of years ago that he still made ten times the money working ten times less than Rollins. ‘The Architect’ said that Reigns’ bravado with that sort of a statement made him want to puke. The former Vision leader affirmed that he never chased money in this business because the actual reward for him was the work.

And come WWE SummerSlam next month, Rollins said that Reigns needs to beat him to prove that he’s not a fraud. Meanwhile, for Rollins, he needs to win just as much to prove to all those kids in the stands that one can indeed achieve greatness through hard work and sacrifice. He got interrupted by LA Knight then.

‘The Megastar’ had heard enough of Rollins, and he couldn’t just sit back after what happened last week on Raw. Knight mocked Rollins and Reigns for boring everyone to sleep with their same old trash. Knight took offense to ‘The Drip God’ being handed a shot at the world heavyweight title just by talking about how great he and Reigns were.

Knight remembered when winning matches and tournaments used to mean everything. ‘The Defiant One’ brought up how Rollins lost in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament, which Knight did too, but the latter didn’t come out making a claim to a title shot just for the sake of nostalgia.

The erstwhile Eli Drake recalled the time when the WWE business was at its peak and he was the one that came storming through back then. However, just as LA was on his way up, the numbers game of the Bloodline cut him off, and the Rollins-led Vision used the same formula to tame Knight last year. The latter asserted that it’s happening to him again, but he won’t get stuffed into the barrel this time around because he must and he will rise.

When it was turn for Rollins to respond, he said he didn’t like LA but he sure did respect him for being a paragon of hard work and true resolve. Seth Rollins also believed that Knight’s turn will come. However, at the moment, Rollins couldn’t afford to mess with ‘The Megastar’ as he needed to worry about regaining the title from Roman Reigns at SummerSlam that he didn’t lose in the first place.

Rollins told Knight he could be the first in line to challenge him for the belt once he takes it off ‘The OTC’. That was it from ‘The Visionary’, and he left with Knight still muttering about him standing in the ring. But Jimmy Uso kicked LA in the face as he turned back to avenge Knight assaulting Uso after their match last week.

Maxxine Dupri joins The Vision in shocking title change on WWE Raw

In the first of the three title matches on this week’s Raw, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory had the onus of bringing some gold back to the Vision. As they were backstage with Logan Paul about to head out, Paul Heyman asked Breakker and Theory to never come back to him if they didn’t win the tag team titles from The Street Profits.

It appeared to some that the disintegration of the Vision was inevitable. However, the grim-looking situation for the unit known as Vision turned around completely when Maxxine Dupri helped them win the gold. She low-blowed Angelo Dawkins while Logan Paul had the referee occupied.

It all fell apart for the babyfaces when Theory pinned Dawkins to end the Profits’ run with the title in just two weeks. Afterwards, Theory & Dupri sealed it with a kiss and it confirmed her alliance with the Vision. It seemed like WWE had dropped the idea of putting Dupri in the Vision when Theory told her last week on Raw that things weren’t working out for them.

However, the former women’s Intercontinental Champion has seemingly won over the Vision with her latest exploits, which impressed Paul Heyman as well. Dupri left with the rest of the Vision, with Otis and Akira Tozawa being heartbroken at the sight of it.

She just stood up for them a few weeks ago when Chad Gable sought an apology from his former Alpha Academy stablemates for treating them pathetically two years back. Dupri came in the way of Gable being forgiven by Otis and Tozawa. She went off on Gable for making it all about him and vehemently rejected his attempt to make peace with the Alpha Academy.

Last week, Dupri admitted to Gable she handled the entire situation horribly and felt bad about it. The former US Olympian, however, told her that she didn’t owe him anything. But now with Maxxine Dupri being aligned with the Vision, how would that affect her standing with Otis and Tozawa? Moreover, how Gable would respond to this will be interesting to see in the coming weeks.
