The whole NASCAR community is still finding it hard to cope with the fact that they lost the two times Cup champion Kyle Busch at the age of 41, due to severe pneumonia. Over the last few weeks, many involved in the sport has paid their respect for the late legend with Special tribute and the iconic Bowman Gray Staiudm is the latest to do it.
They announced the Kyle Busch Invitational, a grassroot level race and it made the legends widow Samantha Busch emotional. Sharing her feelings about the announcement on her Instagram Story, she highlighted how the veteran always cherished the opportunity to be part of the grassroot level races. She also revealed her husband always wanted to bring Legend Car racing to the iconic venue.
Some of Kyle’s happiest moments weren’t just on Sundays. They were spent at local tracks with Brexton, helping young drivers, talking racing with fans and investing in the next generation of our sport. Kyle truly believed grassroots racing was the heart of NASCAR and bringing a Legend car race to Bowman Gray was something he talked about often because he knew how special that place is to drivers and fans alike.
Samantha Busch wrote in her Instagram Story.
This makes the event a dream come true for the champion driver and that means a lot for the whole Busch family. She credited Ben Kennedy, senior NASCAR VP, for making the event possible. It’s the best way to celebrate the legacy of Kyle Busch and it would be extra special if his son Brexton can win the inaugural event.
Seeing one of Kyle’s dreams live on through this event means so much to our family. I’m so incredibly grateful to Ben Kennedy and everyone who helped make this dream a reality.
Samantha Busch added, as reported by On3.com.
Further talking about the point, Samantha Busch asserted that the event would celebrate everything Busch loved about grassroot racing and also highlighted how the event will also help them to continue their charity efforts with their foundation, “The Bundle of Joy Fund.” It’s the most fitting way to honor the legend.
I know this night will celebrate everything Kyle loved. Great racing, passionate fans, young talent, and the grassroots racing community. Thank you for helping carry on a piece of Kyle’s legacy while also supporting The Bundle of Joy Fund. I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor him.
Samantha Busch asserted.
Kyle Larson donates $100K to Kyle Busch and Samantha Busch’s charity
The defending Cup Series champion Kyle Larson has been honoring Kyle Busch ins multiple ways over the last few months and his most recent gesture was donating his $100K winning from this week’s High Limit Series racing series event. He has been donating to the foundation via the championship’s angel donor fund and is determined to continue his effort.

This year, I’ve been donating it to Kyle and Samantha Busch’s Bundle of Joy Fund. We’ll do that again tonight. It’s always great to win and help out there. I encourage everyone in the stands and everybody watching at home to go and do the same. Kyle Busch meant a lot to this industry, whether it was dirt racing, asphalt racing, off-road racing, whatever you want to call it. It’s good to support what they’ve built. And I look forward to seeing Sam(antha Busch) this weekend.
Kyle Larson said on his post-race interview.
This shows how much the champion driver respects the late RCR racer and wants to pay his respect. Supporting the legend’s charity is the best way to do so and it would be interesting to see how the rest of the community is going to get involved in the foundations as requested by HMS’s two times Cup champion.
