Josh Allen Urged to Abandon Bills if He Wants a Super Bowl
Jason McIntyre thinks it's time for Josh Allen to leave the Bills if he aspires to win a Super Bowl in near future.

Jason McIntyre has advice for Josh Allen. He wants Josh Allen to leave the Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl. Allen has spent eight years as the Bills’ quarterback. Despite seven playoff appearances, Allen has failed to deliver a Super Bowl to the Bills.
During that run, Allen had only one man as his head coach, Sean McDermott. The Bills fired McDermott after they faltered in the divisional round last season.
The Bills appointed offensive coordinator Joe Brady as the new head coach. McIntyre claimed that the Bills made a mistake. Moreover, McIntyre ripped the Bills for failing to surround Allen with top players.
McIntyre drew parallels between Allen’s situation and Matthew Stafford’s. The Georgia alum spent 12 years with the Detroit Lions without much postseason success. The moment he left Detroit and joined the Los Angeles Rams, Stafford became a Super Bowl champion and an NFL MVP.
McIntyre urged Allen to leave the Bills and sign with a team that will provide him with a chance to win his first ring.
My overall take on [Josh] Allen, I think I said last year that the Super Bowl window was close. I think Allen’s got to leave Buffalo to win a Super Bowl. The same way we saw Matthew Stafford, really good quarterback in Detroit. Didn’t get to the playoffs as often because he never had this supporting cast. And then you put Stafford with the Rams and boom, Super Bowl.

The Bills went 12-5 in the regular season, but conceded the AFC East to the New England Patriots. In the wildcard round, Allen completed 28 of 35 passes for 273 yards, rushed for 33 yards, and had three total touchdowns in the 27–24 comeback win. Against the Denver Broncos in the divisional round, Allen threw three touchdowns, but had four turnovers, including a horrible fumble toward the end. The Bills lost 33–30 in overtime.
Josh Allen pipped Patrick Mahomes to become the NFL’s best quarterback
Allen hasn’t won a ring or a conference title. But his dominance in the regular season put him in the same category as his peers- Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.

NFL coaches, executives, and scouts believe Allen is the best of the bunch. In the latest ESPN quarterback list, they voted Allen as number one, ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, who had occupied the top spot the previous three years.
Once among the game’s most generous at gift-wrapping footballs for defenders, Allen has assuaged the turnover problem, averaging eight interceptions per season since 2024 (down from an average of 15.7 from 2021-23). He fumbled 12 times over the last two years, an improvement from his 20 from the previous two seasons — and a small consideration against the backdrop of 41 rushing touchdowns since 2023.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote
Even though Deshaun Watson’s personal coach questioned the list, Allen received support from Stephen A. Smith. The veteran ESPN analyst claimed that Allen is a “stud.”
Josh Allen is that dude. He’s an absolute stud. Make no mistake about it.
