It has already been more than two weeks since Netflix released the third installment of its popular ‘Quarterback’ series. Joe Flacco hasn’t watched any episode of ‘Quarterback’ even though he’s one of the stars of the show, along with Washington’s Jayden Daniels, Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield, and Tennessee’s Cam Ward.

In a recent interview with Kayler Smith of KDTN News, Flacco bluntly confessed that he has no intention of watching the new ‘Quarterback’ season on Netflix. He told Smith:

I’ve lived it. And I don’t need to hear my voice and see all those stupid things that I’m gonna cringe at. So, I leave that up to my family.

He still has seen bits and pieces on social media reels. Flacco added:

I’ll see little clips here and there, I’m sure. And people will make sure they tell me about it. Everybody wants to tell you about it. But other than that, I just don’t care to watch myself.

Netflix and Hall of Famer Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions teamed up to create the ‘Quarterback’ series. They wanted fans to witness the grueling life of individuals who play the most challenging position in football.

In the first season, the series documented the on- and off-field lives of Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota. Cousins returned in season two and shared screen time with Joe Burrow and Jared Goff.

Zac Taylor revealed why the Cincinnati Bengals re-signed Joe Flacco

Flacco started the 2025 season on the Cleveland Browns. But with just one win in four games to start the season, the Browns benched the veteran signal-caller.

Meanwhile, in Cincinnati, the Bengals found themselves in an even more dire situation than their AFC North rivals. Burrow picked up a turf toe injury that ruled him out for a couple of months. Jake Browning stepped in and started four games. Browning tallied just 771 yards, a 64.8% completion rate, six touchdowns and eight interceptions during his time on the field, which was enough for the Bengals to pull the plug on him.

The Bengals phoned the Browns and traded a late-round draft pick in exchange for Flacco. Flacco impressed the Bengals so much that they decided to re-sign the Super Bowl winner for another year.

Speaking with Kayler Smith of WDTN, Bengals’ head coach Zac Taylor recalled Flacco learning the offense in just five days before a big showdown against the Green Bay Packers. Taylor said:

It was never lost on us how impressive that was. That’s a big reason we brought him back.

Despite not having enough time to prepare for the Packers showdown, Flacco kept the Bengals competitive. The Packers eventually won 27-18. Flacco threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. Flacco made nine appearances, six of them being starts. He completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,664 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions.

After re-signing with the Bengals, Flacco confessed that he was surprised that there wasn’t much interest from other teams. But he stated that he’s happy to share the locker room with Burrow again.

I had a lot of fun with Joe, and Joe’s the guy. And believe me, I wish I was the guy somewhere, and I think teams are dumb for not having me be that guy.

Flacco has a 107-94 regular-season record. He has thrown 272 touchdowns and 172 interceptions. He has won 10 playoff games, including a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.
