Every other game, Caitlin Clark brings out a new colorway of her Caitlin 1 signature shoe. She has been previewing them ever since the sneaker was publicly unveiled for the first time.

A lot is riding on this shoe, particularly Nike’s future growth, which has been on the decline over the past few years. The influx of competitors and lack of fresh marketable superstars has led to this situation.

Other brands have upped the ante when it comes to recruiting athletes, with the likes of Adidas scooping up young soccer superstar Trinity Rodman. Recruiting was Nike’s forte back in the day.

Maybe that’s why they allowed Caitlin Clark to have this many colorways this early. When A’ja Wilson‘s signature shoe debuted, it took a while before fans came to know about the various editions.

In fact, when it comes to the Indiana Fever superstar, many believe that the plethora of options that have already been showcased might not be all of them. There is still a month to go before the shoe is officially available to the public.

That usually leads to increasingly aggressive marketing campaigns and the likelihood of more colorways. Clark recently talked about how she has two colorways in the works that would interest musical superstar Taylor Swift.

Now, the time has come to unveil the first. It happens to be the Friendship Bracelet edition, featuring customizable beads and a unique lace. This is bound to find takers, particularly among Swift’s fans.

Again, it is highly possible that Caitlin Clark received permission from the multiple Grammy Award-winning pop star before naming her shoe as such. After all, she also unveiled a custom Kobe Protro PE based on Swift’s Eras Tour theme.

Caitlin Clark’s laugh at Angel Reese after missing game-winner becomes viral meme

After this release, fans will be eagerly waiting to see what other Taylor Swift-inspired colorway Caitlin Clark has in store. The latter’s popularity is such that she already is a superstar in her own right.

That stardom comes with its challenges and benefits. Time and again, the Hawkeyes great has talked about how she is also a human, which indicates that some things do affect her.

But when Clark plays her best basketball, not only does she enjoy it more than anyone, but those critical narratives also disappear. If an element of sarcastic fun joins the mix, then there is no stopping the 24-year-old.

That is what happened when she was caught supposedly laughing at longtime rival Angel Reese, after the latter missed a crucial game-winner during their August 16th clash. That image has since gone viral and led Candace Parker to discuss it with Aliyah Boston on their Post Moves podcast.

Like peace, love & happiness. We will never be free!

Aliyah Boston said

As soon as the three-time All-Star said this, Parker mentioned that if the podcast conducts a fan vote for WNBA memes of the year, Caitlin Clark cheesing at Reese will probably be in the top 5, as fans have not stopped talking about it.

Caitlin Clark and Fever have tough final stretch after FIBA World Cup

Before Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston travel to Germany for the FIBA World Cup, the Indiana Fever will battle against the Connecticut Sun before the league breaks into its near three-week-long hiatus.

Then, once they return, the two will be looking to get as much rest as they can, while also going through all the adjustments their teammates worked on during this break.

The two will have to learn quickly and adjust since the four remaining games will be tough. The Toronto Raptors might not be much of a struggle, especially since they would rather tank to gain a higher draft pick than risk further injury.

But then, after that, the Fever will face the Washington Mystics at home. They are currently tied in their head-to-head record and would like to gain an edge with every win deciding the playoff seeding.

Immediately after, the league-leading Minnesota Lynx will be arriving. If their position is not set by then, expect them to fight for a win, making it harder for the Fever. The two play again at Target Center to finish a gruelling run of four games in seven days.
