Tyreek Hill has been in the news linking him to a possible return to the Kansas City Chiefs. But before that happens, he will have to see how his fate holds once his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, finishes her civil trial against him in Miami.

Lakeeta Vacaro Hill alleged back in 2025 that the eight-time All-Pro had been violent to her on eight separate occasions starting in January 2024. She filed for divorce on April 8, last year, a day after police responded to what was their final episode.

Since then, the wideout’s attorneys have alleged that this was nothing but a smear campaign. However, that came with pushback from women’s rights groups, who pointed out that Hill’s history of violence against women could not be ignored.

Now, the 32-year-old had to appear in court while his estranged wife was about to detail what went on during those turbulent years of living together under the same roof.

This is the first time that he struck at my stomach and punched it, I saved myself… He was like, ‘I don’t want the baby.’

Keeta Vaccaro told the court

The sister of former NFL safety Kenny Vaccaro had tears rolling down her cheeks when she detailed that this incident happened when the then-Miami Dolphins star wanted her to get professional hair and makeup done before an ESPN interview.

When she did not show interest, Tyreek Hill became upset and, as described, tried to punch her in the stomach. Vaccaro detailed that she brought her hands forward to protect her stomach, but his fist still connected with them.

Keeta Vaccaro detailed how Tyreek Hill damaged her belongings, along with further physical abuse

This incident took place in July 2024, but that punch to the stomach was not the end of it. Keeta Vaccaro went on to detail how Tyreek Hill continued his abuse towards her at another event last year in April.

He got angry and began to put his hands on me… He tried to grab my ring… Then he forcefully pushed me onto the bed, grabbed all my things- my laptop and my phone- and threw it across the room.

Keeta Vaccaro said

The 30-year-old remarked that her husband broke her laptop and also continued his physical abuse until she screamed. By then, he probably realized that others in the building would hear her screams and stopped.

After Hill left, Vaccaro called the police. Soon, she revealed that she was taken to the hotel’s conference room, where she was questioned about the wide receiver’s actions. It was after this day that Vaccaro filed for divorce.

The eight-time Pro Bowler’s attorneys tried to push Keeta Vaccaro to reveal inconsistencies, and even labeled this attempt as a money-grab opportunity. But so far, she has maintained what she told the police in the past. Therefore, it seems this will be a long trial for Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill’s chances with Chiefs depend on how NFL looks at this trial

This was just what came out on Day 1 of Keeta Vaccaro’s civil trial against Tyreek Hill. Until the end of the session, Hill has to stay put in Miami. However, what comes out of this court rendezvous will likely impact his chances of playing with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The organization is no stranger to its players facing off-the-field charges. In fact, they have gone to great lengths to stand by those who have been in the wrong.

Therefore, it is unlikely that these allegations will have any bearing on his NFL career if the Chiefs believe he can help them compete. However, it also depends on how the league looks at it.

The outcome of this case is likely to force them to issue a suspension of some form. After all, women’s rights groups have been asking Commissioner Roger Goodell to take action. They have not done so far. But if more allegations are leveled against Hill, they might have no choice but to issue a punishment.

Since the pass catcher is already not scheduled to return to play before next month, any suspension will take effect as soon as he is cleared to play. How that impacts the Chiefs will probably determine whether they sign him.
