Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin lll has come under MASSIVE scrutiny after dropping Racial-slur on live television

Former Washington Quarterback and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin lll is in hot water after casually dropping a racial slur on the pre-game show for Monday Night Football.
Speaking on the show “Monday Night Countdown” Griffin was defending the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts when he uttered the racial slur. “People said that Jalen Hurts couldn’t get it done, he could not break from the pocket, he’s not the quarterback of the future, I think he proved all those ji**boos wrong,” said Griffin.
Some people are expressing their concern that griffin slipped in an anti-Black racial slur so casually on live TV. After receiving heavy backlash, the former second-round draft pick has since apologized for his action, saying that it was not the word he meant to use, however, he understands the historical term that came out of his mouth and apologized for saying it. Griffin tweeted that he meant to say “those Bug-A-Boos” in reference to doubters and haters.
Robert Griffin was a player in the National Football League for 8 Seasons. His NFL career was short-lived due to repeated injuries throughout his football career. Griffin inked a multi-year deal with ESPN in August 2021 to work as an analyst for NFL and College football.
Twitter Reacts to Robert Griffin’s Slip up
ESPN analyst Robert Griffin has made a huge mistake on live television, dropping an anti-Black racial slur during the pre-game show for Monday Night football.
Griffin has since apologized for his mistake after receiving a huge backlash on Twitter. While some people have accepted his apology and moved on with their lives, some other people believe this was not a slip-up, but he pushed the limits on what to say on live television. ESPN hasn’t made any further comment on this incident.
Robert Griffin was released by the Baltimore Ravens in January 2021. Shortly after that, he signed a deal with ESPN to become an NFL analyst. However, Griffin hasn’t officially retired yet and is still open to returning to the NFL if an opportunity comes.
