Adam Thielen shared a locker room with Aaron Rodgers for a few weeks before calling time on his career. Thielen shared his experience playing with the four-time NFL MVP on a recent episode of ESPN’s ‘NFL Live.’
The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed Thielen off waivers in December last year. He played five games in the regular season and also contributed in the Steelers’ wildcard defeat to the Houston Texans.
Recently, Thielen joined the NFL Live team, where he discussed the difficulties receivers face in the NFL. Thielen slowly transitioned into explaining his experience while being on the same team as Aaron Rodgers. Thielen claimed that he had never been more stressed in his entire NFL career before receiving passes from Rodgers.
I promise, I’ve never been more stressed in my life than practices with Aaron Rodgers… I’m in the game and I don’t know what the defense is doing because I have to have my eyes on Aaron the whole entire time because he could throw down a hand signal at any second right before he says ‘set hut,’
Adam Thielen said

Thielen retired after the Steelers were knocked out in the playoffs. The former undrafted man carved out a 12-year league career. He played for the Minnesota Vikings (two stints), the Carolina Panthers, and the Steelers. He went to a couple of Pro Bowls and earned a second-time All-Pro honor in 2017. Thielen caught 704 passes for 8497 yards and scored 64 touchdowns.
Aaron Rodgers gives surprise endorsement to one Steelers wide receiver
Rodgers joined the Steelers’ spring training camp on Tuesday. From the camp, the 42-year-old gave a surprise endorsement to one of his receivers.

Rodgers believes Wilson could have a breakout year despite playing as the third man behind DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr.
I think the guy out of anybody that’s really shown this new staff — because it is a new staff — a lot of great tape is Roman Wilson. Roman had a really nice spring. Got to know him on a deeper level during that trip, which was fun.

The Steelers drafted the Michigan alumnus in the third round in 2024. However, Wilson missed his rookie season after suffering an ankle injury. He found it difficult to adapt to the Steelers’ offense in year two, making 13 appearances but only starting four of them. He caught 12 passes for 166 yards and scored one touchdown.
Aaron Rodgers plans to retire after the 2026 season
Rodgers signed with the Steelers ahead of the 2025 season. He made it clear that he would retire after the season. However, both former Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and current head coach Mike McCarthy announced that Rodgers would continue playing.
Not long after, Rodgers agreed to sign a one-year contract worth up to $25 million. He decided to return after consulting with his wife, Brittani. However, the 2026 season will be his last.
This is it.
Rodgers told the reporters
Rodgers won a ring with McCarthy as his coach at the Green Bay Packers. He’s a 10x Pro Bowler, 4x All-Pro, led the league in passer rating four times, and finished as the league’s top touchdown maker twice. Per Spotrac, Aaron Rodgers has earned $394.8 million during his 22-year stint in the league. Only Rams QB Matthew Stafford has earned more.
