Sasha Banks has managed to remain the talk of the town, ever since her WWE departure. For months, the wrestling community and her fans in particular were anxiously waiting for The Boss’ next step. Many thought that she’ll eventually return to WWE at one point or the other, however this ain’t happening now.
As previously reported by PWInsider, The former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion is set to appear for NJPW at their Wrestle Kingdom 17 event, on January 4th. As soon as the news came out, everyone was left baffling around. This was certainly the least expected move one would’ve predicted for Banks to make.
Nonetheless, it’s actually a monstrous gain for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Also, The Blueprint is believed to make a series of appearances for NJPW, pretty much more than a “one-night exclusive”. Many fans are still wondering if this deal can enable Banks to work for All Elite Wrestling as well. We’ve already seen Forbidden Door pay-per-view held earlier this year, which included multiple NJPW talents.
A recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter clears up the air. Accordingly, the succeeding AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles post Wrestle Kingdom 17 is where a huge tag-team match is booked. This showdown will see Britt Baker and AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter taking on Saraya and a mystery partner. Fans can’t stop speculating that the surprise could end up being Sasha Banks.
That’s only a full-blown speculation at the moment. However, considering that’s really happening, Dave Meltzer stated, “they would push the Los Angeles match more each week”. Even more so, an exclusive report from Fightful indicated that some of the AEW talents are pretty excited about the possibility of Sasha Banks supposedly joining them.

Will Sasha Banks ever return to WWE?
As first reported by Raj Giri of WrestlingInc, the Boss was released way back in June from WWE. After that walk-away incident on Monday Night Raw in May, the company decided to pull the trigger and excempt Banks from their company.
Even after this, no one was ready to whole-heartedly agree on the above saying. But now, the picture is clear and new reports claim that WWE higher-ups were not willing to pay the desired figure to what Sasha asked for. The reported figure was around the levels of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, the top female stars of this company.

Adding to the point, the executives around there just didn’t consider The Mandalorian star as a future prospect for themselves. The belief was that she might’ve just passed her peak and would not provide enough value to WWE. However, a WWE source also claimed that the door is not closed forever and they believe that The Blueprint will eventually return to the shed, when the time is right.
