Alexandra Daddario shared a lighthearted moment with David Beckham while attending England’s FIFA World Cup 2026 clash against Ghana on June 23.
The actress, best known for her roles in The White Lotus, True Detective, and Baywatch, was among the spectators at Boston Stadium as England faced Ghana in its second group-stage match of the tournament.
During the match, Daddario noticed former England captain David Beckham watching from a hospitality suite and seized the opportunity for a playful photo. Using forced perspective, she snapped a picture that made Beckham appear miniature in the distance. The football icon appeared to appreciate the joke, responding with a thumbs-up toward the camera.
Daddario later posted the image on Instagram, where her 22 million-plus followers quickly embraced the humorous exchange. The post generated a wave of reactions, with fans commenting on both her support for England and her amusing interaction with Beckham.
Wearing an England jersey and a matching cap, Daddario enthusiastically backed Thomas Tuchel’s side from the stands. However, the action on the pitch proved less eventful than England’s opening 4-2 victory over Croatia, as the Three Lions were held to a scoreless draw by Ghana. Despite the stalemate, England remained atop Group L heading into its final group-stage fixture.
England’s best opportunity came when Nico O’Reilly’s header struck the crossbar before Harry Kane sent the rebound over the goal. Ghana also created chances during the contest, while England escaped a potential penalty decision involving defender Ezri Konsa. The draw moved England closer to advancing from the group stage, with Panama next on the schedule.
