Becky Lynch has been on a hiatus from WWE and professional wrestling since her contract with the Stamford-based promotion expired. Although she has not been seen on wrestling TV since the Raw episode after King & Queen of the Ring, she recently gave her fans an update on social media.
Becky Lynch posted a few photos of her on X, alluding to yesterday being Monday. The first photo featured her sitting on a bench, looking highly disinterested and bored. Another photo features Lynch sitting on a desk and looking down. She can also be seen staring off into the distance with the same disinterested look in the last photo.
Fans speculated that the caption could be a hint that the former Women’s Champion misses being on Monday Night Raw. Perhaps she may be interested in renewing her contract soon and appearing on wrestling TV once again. Others interpreted the post simply as a joke, indicating that Lynch is feeling the Monday blues.
The Man’s last appearance on WWE programming was when she faced Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match. She was looking to reclaim her Women’s World Championship that she was screwed out of at King & Queen of the Ring. The 37-year-old was unsuccessful and dropped a teaser on her social media before disappearing from TV.
Former WWE writer predicts Becky Lynch’s future in wrestling
Freddie Prinze Jr. recently spoke about Lynch’s free agency and where he thinks she will land. Speaking on Wrestling With Freddie, the former WWE writer was in disbelief that the female superstar did not re-sign with the company right away.
While he still does not think that she will end up elsewhere, he did expect AEW President Tony Khan to make her a huge offer. Prinze even expected the offer to be double that of Mercedes Mone, probably making it the biggest offer for a female wrestler.
Prinze thought that Becky 2 Belts had at least ten more years of storytelling left on WWE TV. Thus, it was highly strange of her not to renew. The former WWE writer speculated that the only reason for her free agency must be her wanting to spend more time with her family. She must want to be at home while her husband, Seth Rollins, recovers from his surgery.
