Jason Jackson faced the undefeated Yaroslav Amosov for the welterweight championship. This fight went down as the main event of Bellator 301 in Chicago. He shocked the MMA world by stopping the Ukrainian champion in the third round via TKO. To everyone’s surprise, he was a hefty underdog in this fight but came out as the victor.

Yaroslav Amosov was predominantly a wrestler and tried taking down the challenger multiple times. But Jason Jackson stuffed all of his takedowns to keep the fight standing. In the third round, a right cross-left hook-right cross combination landed home from Jackson, putting the champion down. That was the beginning of the end. When he tried to wrestle his way out, Jackson kept his distance and punched him back to back until the referee stopped the fight.

This was a massive win for Jason Jackson. Previously, he became the champion of LFA and Titan FC before coming to Bellator. After losing his second Bellator fight, he stacked up a six-fight win streak to get the title shot. He finally made it through the undefeated Yaroslav Amosov to become the promotion’s welterweight champion.
