Mike Tyson abstained from having sex with his wife for a year as part of his preparation for a fight. Tyson himself revealed this in an explosive press conference that has since resurfaced on social media.
Tyson’s candid admission about not engaging in sexual activity for a year was shared in a video posted on Instagram. There, he discussed the loneliness of boxing as a sport. Mike Tyson said:
I haven't fu**ed my wife in a year. I haven't seen my kids in a month.... You are a reporter of boxing but never fought and never been a champion. You don’t know our pain. It’s the loneliest sport in the world you know what I’m saying?

After that Mike Tyson also went on a rant about making his opponent’s children feel the pain. Combat sports remain a brutal venture for anyone. The idea of abstinence in sports, where athletes refrain from sex for extended periods, is a common practice among combat sports athletes. This possibly explained Tyson’s decision. However, Tyson’s perseverance and determination did not go to waste.
Mike Tyson reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. This made him the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA, and IBF world heavyweight titles at the age of 20.
Tyson won his first 19 professional fights, with 12 ending in knockouts in the first round. He also successfully defended his world heavyweight title ten times, including victories over former champions Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks. These achievements highlighted Mike Tyson’s dominance in the boxing world during his prime.
Mike Tyson is proud of Francis Ngannou for his performance against Tyson Fury

Tyson specifically mentioned being proud that Ngannou listened to everything he said during their training together. The former UFC heavyweight champion showed his boxing skills under Tyson’s guidance. On one of the recent episodes of ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,’ Tyson praised Ngannou. This is what Tyson said:
I was really proud of Francis Ngannou because he listened to everything I said...And I was telling everybody about the great left hook that he landed on his sparring partner...I knew if he landed that left hook on anybody they were gone – and I was right. The champ went down. I’m happy.Mike Tyson via YouTube.
Ngannou’s performance in the ring earned him respect even in defeat. The fight ended with a controversial split decision in favor of Tyson Fury. Two judges scored it in favor of Fury, while a third judge had it for Ngannou. Despite knocking down Fury in the third round, Nagnnou lost the fight. The match was closely contested, and the split decision sparked discussions about the outcome.
