Floyd Mayweather is one of the most accomplished boxer inside and outside the ring. Mayweather in his professional boxing career has fought some of the greatest names like Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao and more. Mayweather not only accumulated world titles but a huge sum of wealth earning himself the nickname Money. He also recently proved that he is not called ‘Money’ for no reason when he revealed his flying arrangements on the Pivot podcast.
Floyd Mayweather is known for his rich and affluent lifestyle. Considered one of the best, Money Mayweather has managed to sell 24 million PPVs and generate over a billion dollars in revenue during his professional boxing career. However, apart from his earnings from the ring, Mayweather has also left a mark in the world of business as well. He owns many businesses and made some great investments accumulating a fortune for himself. So when Mayweather says that he can fly wherever he wants whenever he wants with one call, it is true
During his appearance on the Pivot Podcast, Money Mayweather revealed that he owns a private jet and has not flown commercial for the last ten years. He was later questioned about his flying arrangements as well. Mayweather without missing a beat called his pilot and proceeded to give him the pickup and drop location. Just like that, Mayweather had booked a flight like an average person would book an Uber.
The whole conversation left the hosts of the podcast baffled. One was even willing to walk out of the podcast in disbelief. Mayweather proved why he is the richest boxer in history and called Money. Floyd Mayweather earned his fortune through hard work and does not mind flexing it every now and then.
Floyd Mayweather willing to sign Francis Ngannou to Mayweather Promotions
After his last fight against Cyril Gane at UFC 270, former heavyweight fighter champion Francis Ngannou parted ways with the organisation. Ngannou revealed that he wants to take up boxing and has been calling out top heavyweight boxers ever since. While Ngannou has been reached out by several other organisations, Floyd Mayweather has shown interest in signing the fighter.
In his interview with Bet Online Mayweather revealed why he wants to sign the former UFC heavyweight champ to his promotions. I’d love to sign him to Mayweather Promotions. “If he wants to fight one of the top heavyweight guys, he should do it. In the heavyweight division, it takes just one shot. With his size, strength, power – anything can happen.” said Floyd Mayweather.
Ngannou had been in talks with Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury for his boxing debut. However, there is no new update regarding this fight. That said Ngannou has also expressed his desire to fight Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua as well. If Francis Ngannou ends up being signed by the Mayweather Promotions he might find it a bit easier to strike a deal for his debut.
