KSI also known as “JJ Olatunji” was going to fight Alex Wassabi on August 27 inside the O2 Arena in London. However, due to an injury, Wassabi had to pull out of the fight and it left KSI in a desperate search for a new opponent.

After much consideration, JJ announced that he will fight rapper and producer Swarmz at the same venue. Surprisingly, it wasn’t enough for the 29-year-old as JJ also confirmed that he is going to fight Luis Pineda, a pro boxer, on the same night.

In a recent interview with talkSPORT, KSI revealed why he decided to fight two opponents on the same night. He said:

“I felt like my end goal is to fight Jake Paul, knock him out and end his whole journey. For me I felt like I had to, I guess do more. I couldn’t just fight swarms..that’s why I thought I would fight a pro boxer….I actually thought I would be fighting them back to back..but my trainers and my managers were like that is not gonna happen…So each fight is three rounds each. So, I’m gonna be fighting first on the card and then last on the card.”

After JJ did that interview with talkSPORT, Jake Paul took to Twitter in order to share his thoughts on the fight. Paul cropped and posted the clip of KSI explaining the fight and mocked the Brit for his fakeness. Paul claimed that this whole event is not genuine and KSI is misleading the fight fans. According to Jake, KSI fighting three rounds is very easy and this whole thing is cheating. He wrote:

“This can’t be real?
Each “fight” is 3 rounds? And he gets a 3hr break in between! Hahahahaha.
It’s way easier than one 6 round fight.
KSI & Minions Boxing doing the fans dirty with this fake shit. Mislead after mislead.”

Later, KSI tweeted back explaining that he wanted to fight six rounds for each fight. However, the commission didn’t allow it.

Despite Paul’s claims, what KSI is going to do is indeed very challenging and unique as well. If everything goes right and JJ wins both the fights he will beat Paul by fighting a professional boxer first. Nevertheless, it’s postive that both will see each other inside the boxing ring next year and it is going to be an amazing showdown.
