Jake Paul, despite being a more technically skilled fighter than Hasim Rahman Jr. and Tommy Fury, has been unable to outlast either of them due to Tommy’s mobility issues. He hasn’t lost a game and has beaten some tough opponents. Despite only turning professional in 2020, he has faced numerous MMA opponents. Since then, he has shown promise and made significant progress.

Rahman’s camp informed Paul’s team Saturday morning that Rahman planned to weigh in at 215 pounds on Friday, according to MVP’s statement. Rahman had signed a contract for a fight at 200 pounds, but according to the statement, Paul was willing to compromise and fight at 205 pounds. Rahman’s camp stated in the statement that its fighter would withdraw from the fight if the weight limit was not set at 215 pounds.

Rahman Jr. weighed in at 216.5 pounds on July 7, the same weight he registered at his second weigh-in on July 10. He took to Twitter and stated, “Ask him about this video he sent MVP and the Commission on July 7th” and posted the said video:

Dana, the president of the UFC, believes Paul and MVP bailed on the event after failing to sell enough tickets to break even. Rahman Jr. weighed in at 216.5 pounds on July 7, the same weight he registered at his second weigh-in on July 10.
