Mike Tyson played a crucial role in training Francis Ngannou for boxing debut against Tyson Fury. Francis Ngannou displayed a stellar performance and almost beat Fury in his first-ever stint in boxing. Mike Tyson revealed his method of coaching Ngannou for the fight during his interview with Patrick Bet-David.

Francis Ngannou was up against the boxing world champion in his debut fight. Mike Tyson highlighted that it was important to build Ngannou’s confidence and form his belief system for him to perform. Describing his role as the coach, Mike Tyson said:

I'm working on his belief system as well...I'm pushing on his boxing, and I push you know. He has to know what the concept of aggression is and relaxation is. But you know he is a fighter, so I'm sure he must understand but he needs to have that confidence in this particular genre he is getting ready to get involved with and that's what I'm here for.
