Zubair got arrested under two sections of a law which is related to maintaining religious harmony. Zubair made that tweet in 2018 in which he commented on a hotel’s name which was a still from an old Bollywood movie. In the tweet, Zubair showed the picture and wrote ” Before 2014, Honeymoon Hotel. After 2014, Hanuman Hotel“. The year was referenced when BJP leader Narendra Modi came into power.

After this news blew up, Zubair has been receiving death threats from random users on social media. His arrest generated mixed reactions in the public which is now one of the most talked about topics. Many complained that the arrest was unnecessary and it clearly showed the inclination of law towards the ruling party. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to express his opinions on the matter by blaming BJP.

” Every person exposing the BJP’s hate, bigotry and lies is a threat to them,” tweeted the Congress party leader, Rahul Gandhi.
