Ryan Garcia scored a scintillating TKO/knockout win over Oscar Duarte to come back in style after his first professional loss. Garcia recently made headlines with scathing remarks on Bernarnd Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya. The TKO was his 20th victory via KO/TKO in 25 professional bouts.

The finish came in the final 30 seconds of the eighth round. Garcia wobbled Duarte with a check left hook at the neutral corner. He followed it up with a flurry that dropped Duarte on his knees. The referee gave the mandatory count, but Duarte was too late to respond.

The fight was all Ryan Garcia. Garcia used his signature speed to full effect and easily bagged the opening rounds. Duarte came back in the mid-rounds, but Garcia did not let that happen much longer. The finish came at the eight-round, which was an uneventful round if not for the finish. All major sports publications had Garcia leading by at least 5 rounds to 2 before the finish.

In his previous bout against Gervonta Davis, Garcia lost by TKO in the seventh round, thereby losing his undefeated record. However, the fight was not without controversy, as Garcia had to agree to a rehydration clause for the fight. Nevertheless, the victory over Duarte has made the loss to Davis a distant memory. Garcia had to face immense criticism after the loss to Davis. However, the knockout silenced the haters.

Ryan Garcia silenced the haters with an amazing knockout victory over Oscar Duarte. Duarte, who is not a household name, was coming off 11 consecutive KO/TKO victories. However, Garcia was too elusive for Duarte to land the power punches he is famous for. Nevertheless, he showed grit and heart in losing against one of boxing’s biggest stars.

In his post-fight speech, Garcia called out Rolly Romero who incidentally has lost only to Gervonta Davis. Garcia has championship aspirations and he sees Romero as the first step to get title fights against Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney.
