“The man who made him cry,” Tyson Fury wants to test his mantle against AJ’s Kryptonite Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury made his comeback after announcing his retirement earlier this year. The fighter faced his old opponent, Derek Chisora on December 3rd inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fight went for ten rounds and ultimately Fury won the fight via TKO. However, this wasn’t the first choice to fight the ‘Gypsy King’ when he came out of retirement. Fury wanted to fight Oleksander Usyk and also called out Anthony Joshua after the pair fought their title fight. Fury wanted to fight in December and both AJ and Usyk bailed out from the fight. Currently, Fury is determined that he will fight Usyk next year.
He said: “That’s the fight the world wants. If Usyk ain’t next then I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I really wanna fight Usyk next…I don’t think it is a tough fight, no. He will not stand up to them punches.” When asked about the potential fight with AJ, Fury mentioned that he doesn’t think so. According to Fury, he wants to fight the man who beat AJ.
“I’m looking to fight Usyk, Joshua’s nemesis. The man who got AJ’s Kryptonite. The man who made him cry” said Fury to IFL TV. Usyk vs Fury is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated fights in recent years. Both fighters are undefeated and at the top of their game, it is going to be a great showdown for the fans. Fury thinks it is going to be a walk in the park for him, however, the fighter has made special arrangements to train for that fight.
Tyson Fury confirms having football legend Wayne Rooney spar to with him
Earlier Tyson Fury mentioned that he has plans to talk with former England Football team captain, Wayne Rooney to come and train with him. Rooney, who is a big fan of boxing will definitely be free to have some time to spend with Fury.
Many thought, Fury was just joking given the fighters like to banter a lot. However, it seems like the Brit is actually serious about it. In an interview, he said, “Yeah, I’m getting Wayne into it. Usyk coz he’s small and nippy and he knows how to get out. Why does it matter, one professional athlete to another? It’s absolutely concrete, Rooney is coming to camp Fury in Morecam bay to help me out for the Usyk fight.”
Fury is a pure showman and knows exactly what to do in order to get more and more attention. Usyk, on the other hand, likes to talk less but inside the ring, both are absolute beasts. The whole boxing world is eagerly waiting for these giants to share the together in the future.
