Canelo Alvarez showcased outstanding performance in the trilogy fight against his long rival Gennady Golovkin. After two questionable fights in the past, the Mexican won the trilogy fight clearly without any controversies. He was definitely more agile, active, and skilful during the whole fight and didn’t give GGG any openings to counter.

Golovkin also gave an amazing performance considering the fact that he is 40 years old, however this time Alvarez was just leagues apart.

Coming into the fight, Alvarez was subjected to some doubts after his defeat to Dmitry Bivol earlier this year. However, Canelo shut down all his haters and now has plans to go after Bivol in a few months. .

Canelo Alvarez was pretty impressed with his decisive victory against Gennady Golovkin in their trilogy fight.

During the post-fight interview, the Mexican revealed that he worked hard and made sure to bounce back from his earlier loss against Dmitry Bivol. When asked about his plans to fight Bivol again after the upcoming Bivol vs Ramírez fight, Alvarez was clear with his response.

Alvarez confirmed that he wants to take his revenge against Bivol as soon as possible and most of it will depend upon the result of Bivol vs Ramirez. The fighter mentioned that it important for him to heal and recover ftom the fight against GGG. Consequently, he will prioritize taking rest in order to get back to his optimal strength.

He said: “Of course, everybody knows. We will see what happen in that fight but I mean I need rest. I need to come back and get strength back in my hand and recover my body so I can come back stronger than ever.”

While talking about his rivalry with Bivol, Alvarez also mentioned that beating the Russian is extremely important for Alvarez’s legacy. Factors such as his pride, family, and country everything is on the line against Bivol for Canelo.

“No, it’s very important for my legacy for me. For my pride, for my country for my family for everything. It’s very important and I’m angry, I will beat him,” said Alvarez.

The win against GGG has definitely boosted Alvarez’s confidence and he will comeback stronger going into the potential Bivol fight. It will be interesting to see how the second fight will turn out between these two great boxers.
