Shannon Sharpe doesn't think that Jake Paul should be considered a real fighter
At this point, no matter how many opponents Jake Paul defeats, there is always going to be a cloud of doubt on his achievements. Take, for example, the credibility of his current win against Tyron Woodley is doubted by almost everyone. Shannon Sharpe is one such dissident. After the 5-0 victory by knockout, Jake Paul was seen celebrating wildly. Sharpe was not at all amused with the victory.
The Undisputed host said, “I refuse to call Jake a professional, as his fights are simply for show.” Sharpe said, “Paul is good at what he does, however, he needs to stop calling out Canelo immediately as he will get hurt if he ends up in the ring with the wrong guy.”
The knockout attracted the ire of many from the boxing and the MMA world. Many cited that the match was rigged and Paul paid Woodley to take the punch to the face and fake the knockout.
Sharpe said, “Jake Paul is a celebrity boxer. He’s not a professional boxer. Give him credit. I’m not here to knock the man’s hustle, but we know he’s not a real fighter.“

Although Shannon Sharpe’s words might seem harsh to some, they are true to some extent. The only fighters Jake Paul has prowess against are a retired MMA fighter, a retired boxer, and an MMA fighter turned boxer. He might need some more time to take his place among the greats if we take the words of Shannon Sharp to their meaning.
