It seems like WWE is in some rush to clean the house down. Another prominent name, viz., Cameron Grimes, has ended up on the chopping block. In a video he posted on X, the 30-year-old revealed that he’s been released from his contract by WWE. He was absolutely devastated. A teary-eyed Grimes then reminisced about his late father, Tracey Caddell.

Getting a WWE contract was the last thing Cameron was able to convey to his dad. The latter, sadly, passed away in July 2018. Further, Grimes said that he loved working at WWE. He couldn’t name any names who’d helped him throughout, as his address would’ve gone on forever in that case. The former NXT North American Champion even assured his fans that, if anything, getting axed from WWE has lit a fire under him.

The Technical Savage affirmed that working under the WWE umbrella is all that he has dreamed of his entire life. But now that it’s no longer his haven, he’d need to show them that they missed out, said Cameron Grimes. Last year, he was drafted to SmackDown. And if the reports were to be believed, WWE was high on The Carolina Caveman.

Beating Baron Corbin in merely seconds upon his SmackDown in-ring debut would be one of Grimes’ career highlights. Shortly into his main roster foray, the real-life Trevor Lee disclosed how investing in the stock market helped him buy a Lamborghini, his dream car. The ex-Million Dollar Champion last competed on WWE television a couple of weeks ago on the blue brand. He was presented like a tyro and went down tamely against a formidable force in Bron Breakker.

Who did WWE release over the past week?

Over the past week, there’s been a ton of WWE releases. Last Friday, the company freed Jinder Mahal, The Indus Sher‘s Veer and Sanga, Xyon Quinn, and Xia Li from their contracts. Out of them, Mahal and Li garnered rave reviews among backstage talents. Both of them were extremely well-liked by their peers.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre lent his support to Jinder in an emotional post on X. Meanwhile, Xia had her fellow female colleagues in shambles as they penned some wholesome notes for the departing Chinese wrestler.

Another NXT name who’s been let go is Von Wagner. An important point to note is that the said releases under Triple H‘s regime are being handled in a much more apologetic way, in contrast to how they used to be when Vince McMahon was in charge.
