Tom Brady has spent his retirement days exploring challenges far removed from his familiar NFL pocket. His latest exploits could lead him inside a WWE ring. However, Cody Rhodes has made it clear that he doesn’t want Brady’s debut at his expense.
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the three-time Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, gave Brady a piece of advice. Rhodes said:
Here’s my warning. Tom [Brady] doesn’t need a warning. He’s a super athlete. A lot of the celebrities and people who want to cross into wrestling, when we do some sort of merging of worlds, I feel like they always get involved in my stuff.
Rhodes noted that stars from other fields have a habit of involving themselves in fights without prior experience, like Pat McAfee, Travis Scott and Bad Bunny. Rhodes argued that Brady doesn’t have to follow the same path. He joked:
If you come in, you don’t have to mess with me… You can pick other people to mess with.
Cody Rhodes warns Tom Brady not to get "involved in his stuff", after his WWE feuds with Travis Scott & Pat McAfee in recent years:

Brady, 48, doesn’t need to participate in a full fight. He can make a special guest appearance in a bout or be a guest referee. The WWE also has the option of placing the seven-time Super Bowl winner in a Royal Rumble match.
Whichever it is, Brady wants to be part of the WWE in one way or the other. The WWE just needs to pick up the phone and make a call to the Raiders minority owner. He said:
I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix.
Brady was first linked to WWE when he appeared on WWE superstar Logan Paul’s podcast to promote his Flag Football tournament. In the episode, Paul claimed that he’s a better athlete than a football player. Brady called his confidence “cute.”
Paul doubled down on his take by adding that he could defeat two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett inside the WWE ring. Brady laughed at the suggestion. Paul threw an open challenge for a fight. Former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell responded, but Paul hesitated to reciprocate. Eventually, he agreed to fight Bell but backed out when WWE intervened.
It did not end the feud between Brady and Paul. Paul participated in Brady’s FF tournament in LA. On draft day, Paul called both Brady and his former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski out in front of the media. The heat transferred onto the field. In one game, things became heated, and Brady smashed a football in Paul’s back.
More recently, Brady and Paul rekindled their beef at the Fanatics Fest. Brady slapped Paul on the stage. A couple of days later, onlookers filmed Brady flashing a middle finger at Paul at the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey.
Tom Brady received positive Raiders news
Only a handful of rookies hadn’t signed their first contract with their respective teams. Among them was Raiders Fernando Mendoza.

Mendoza finally put pen to paper on a four-year, $57.27 million fully guaranteed contract with the AFC West franchise—roughly $37.8 million as a signing bonus. According to Spotrac, his 2026 cap hit is $10.4 million.

During the pre-draft visit to the Raiders facility, Brady paid Mendoza a visit over the phone. Mendoza has requested to train with Brady. Fans just have to wait and see whether that ever comes to fruition.
The Raiders drafted Mendoza first overall. Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy, the first Indiana Hoosiers player to do so. He also helped Indiana win a maiden national title.
