Tom Brady is ready to follow in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar and Goldberg and try his luck in wrestling. He’s waiting for the WWE to call him so he can prove that even at 48, he still has great athleticism.

Speaking with WWE superstar Cody Rhodes on the “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” live from Fanatics Fest, Brady sent out an appeal to the wrestling federation to give him a chance to compete in a match.

I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan [WWE president] to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix.

After retiring from the NFL in 2023, Brady diversified his interests. He bought shares in the Las Vegas Raiders and English soccer club Birmingham City FC. He also partnered with CardVault to make playing cards more readily available across the US.

Brady now wants to fulfil another one of his dreams, competing inside a WWE ring.

I think I could get in there for at least one match… Come on, Nick. Make it happen.

This is not the first time Brady has made headlines regarding the WWE. Earlier in the year, the seven-time Super Bowl champion struck up conflict with Logan Paul. Logan, one half of the infamous “Paul Brothers,” transitioned to wrestling after quitting the streaming business, while his brother Jake Paul took up boxing.

Tom Brady and Jake Paul had a heated exchange at the Fanatics Fest

Brady answered the call from Fanatics owner Michael Rubin and showed up at the FF like the previous years. He shared the stage with Logan Paul.

Things heated up when Brady and Paul started arguing. Rubin and reigning NBA champion Karl-Anthony Towns tried their best to defuse the tension until Brady took his right hand out of his pocket and slapped Paul. A gobsmacked KAT looked lost by the incident. He quickly removed Paul from the scene, not before the 31-year-old directed some unsavory comments at Brady.

Brady and Paul started bickering when the former NFL quarterback filmed an episode for the “Impaulsive” podcast. During the episode, Paul declared that he could defeat any football player inside the ring. Brady retorted by calling Paul’s thoughts “cute.”

The episode went viral quickly. Athletes from both disciplines started giving their opinions. Paul challenged football players to step into the ring with him. He received a reply from retired running back Le’Veon Bell. Initially, Paul was hesitant to fight Bell but did agree to entertain him. However, Paul backed out of the fight after his bosses allegedly told him not to.

Later, Brady and Paul met on the football field, flag football to be precise. Paul participated in Brady’s Flag Football tournament. They were on the opposite teams, and Brady took complete advantage. He smacked Paul in the back with a football, getting him riled up.

Tom Brady ranks as the ninth-best quarterback in NFL history

Chris Simms, former NFL quarterback, NBC Sports analyst, and co-host of Pro Football Talk with Mike Florio, recently released his all-time NFL quarterback list. And there were some shockers. Namely, Simms ranked Brady as the ninth-best QB in league history. Here’s the entire list:

  1. Peyton Manning
  2. Patrick Mahomes
  3. Aaron Rodgers
  4. John Elway
  5. Brett Favre
  6. Josh Allen
  7. Lamar Jackson
  8. Dan Marino
  9. Tom Brady
  10. Roger Staubach

When asked the reason behind Brady being ranked below quarterbacks who have never won a ring, Simms pointed to Brady’s mechanics as a quarterback.

If you put him in some other situations, I don’t know if it would have looked as pretty…I’m not sure you could do more with less…Brady amazing, but not gonna extend plays, needs pass protection, no backyard plays, very few in the history of his whole career. He was awesome in his prime, but some of these other guys we’re gonna talk about are like one man shows.

Brady had a 251-82 win rate in the regular season. He completed 7753 passes for 89,214 yards and 649 touchdowns (all NFL records). In the postseason, he had a 35-13 record.
