Cody Rhodes sent a strong message to the outside forces getting involved in his WrestleMania season plans on SmackDown after WrestleMania 42.

Cody Rhodes turned up to SmackDown after WrestleMania with the black eye but used it in his favor to affirm that no matter how badly he got hit, he stood back up and made that long walk to the back on his own. ‘The American Nightmare’ wanted to let Randy Orton know that he was still standing in the middle of that ring despite ‘The Legend Killer’ taking him out with his best shot—a Punt to the head.
Rhodes also addressed a sarcastic and condescending Sami Zayn, who backstage called him the golden boy and said that everything went right with Rhodes every single time. ‘The QB1’ doubled down on that narrative, stressing that he’s indeed gold like his family and the fans.

Coming onto the most interesting bit about his promo on SmackDown, Rhodes sent a message to the outside forces that have constantly been meddling with his WrestleMania plans. The erstwhile EVP of AEW reminded the said mystery meddlers something, who are no one else but the higher-ups at TKO.

“The most important message I want to send is to those outside forces that kept interceding and interjecting into my WrestleMania plans, that want to get involved in this Nightmare family party. I’ll make it simple, you guys are 0-3. Send your… pic.twitter.com/MokDbg3xEf
It’s only upon their behest that Pat McAfee got interjected into Rhodes’ feud with Orton just two weeks prior to their WrestleMania showdown. ‘The Prodigal Son’ reminded them that they’re 0-3 in their pursuit of getting involved in the business pertaining to Cody Rhodes, especially around the time the WrestleMania season kicks in.
"Easy to find, hard to BEAT"

After getting his message across, Rhodes declared an open invite to those on NXT, Raw, and SmackDown for stepping up to him, as he was easy to find but hard to beat. It certainly appears that WWE is being cautious with its top babyface champion after he suffered that gnarly eye injury at WrestleMania.
It’s known that he’s not medically cleared to compete and might take a few weeks to overcome the damage done to his orbital socket. WWE teased a major feud for Cody Rhodes on Raw this past Monday with CM Punk. It’d be interesting to see if this is the play for next year’s WrestleMania.
Jacob Fatu caused carnage in the main event of SmackDown
The main event of this week’s SmackDown saw Jacob Fatu defeat Solo Sikoa. Fatu, however, got outnumbered by the MFTs in the immediate aftermath of his win. The Usos came out to seemingly help Fatu, but the ‘Samoan Werewolf’ proved he didn’t need anyone. The former US Champion battered Tama Tonga and JC Mateo with multiple chair shots across their backs and even did the hip attack on both of them.

Fatu hit a suicide dive on Tonga Loa on the outside and splashed him through the commentary desk to put an end to his MFT obliteration. He then got into the ring and said something to The Usos, who kept standing on the ring apron the entire time to see the destruction unfold. For the unversed, Fatu confronted Roman Reigns and The Usos on Raw after WrestleMania.

The former NWA Champion issued a challenge to ‘The OTC’ to wrestle him for the world title at Backlash. Reigns gave Fatu a week’s time to reconsider his challenge, as he thought Fatu wasn’t ready to carry the burden of that title yet. ‘The Tribal Chief’ also warned his little cousin that the consequences of losing to him would be having to acknowledge Reigns.
‘The Head of the Table’ will be on Raw this Monday and will give an answer regarding whether he’ll bestow a title shot on Jacob Fatu or not. The latter opened this week’s SmackDown, and he asked Reigns to prove his judgment of Fatu not being ready. He got interrupted by The Usos, who were sent by Reigns to talk some sense into ‘The Samoan Werewolf’.
While Jimmy offered for Fatu to fall in line and join the family, Jey said it was too late for that. ‘The Yeet Master’ told Fatu the only way to earn Reigns’ respect is to walk right up to him, look him in the eyes, and get ready for a war. WWE is expected to confirm Reigns vs. Fatu for the World Heavyweight title at Backlash after Raw this coming Monday.
