“One last time?”- Australia’s Megan Schutt hints retirement after CWG 2022 final vs India?

Australia is locking-horns with India in the Commonwealth Games 2022 final on Sunday, August 7 at Edgbaston, in Birmingham, UK. The rivalry between the two countries has grown over the years. Last time the two countries clashed was in 2020 T20 World Cup at the MCG and the Aussie were the winner.
Previously in the semi-final match against New Zealand, Schutt’s three-wicket haul and an all-round effort from Tahila McGrath helped Australia a comfortable win to make their way to the Commonwealth Games‘ gold medal match.
“We want to hold all the jewellery. We’re coming in as favourites, but we come in expecting to win every single game we play and have been the favourites for a lot of tournaments now, so we’re humbled by. We’re the favourites but we thrive on that,” Schutt said on Saturday.
“There are obviously two tournaments in the past that have haunted us, and something that kind of reinvigorated our team in that 2017 loss. We do talk about that a lot, that has been a new era for us. Losses drive you forward and for us we want to win every single game that we play, we want to win every major champioship. It’s about getting better and evolving as a team and each new tournament brings a new challenge,” Schutt added.
Earlier, Megan Schutt posted two picture on her social media handles. She shared the post with the caption: “Gold medal match. Can’t wait to run around with this team one last time! @CommGamesAUS”.
Now fans are questioning if Schutt will bid adieu to international cricket after the Commonwealth Games 2022 final match.
