Amir and PCB don’t have a good relationship with each other as while announcing his retirement, he revealed how his mental state was being affected by a bad atmosphere of the team and the board.

Amir took his retirement from international cricket in 2020 however, he withdrew it later, which made him available for selection in the national team. He was last seen in action against England during the second T20I in 2022. He has scalped 59 wickets at an economy of 7.02 in 50 T20Is while representing the Men in Green.
