The Telegraph recently released an article regarding Taylor Swift’s recent “Eras Tour”. The author wrote about the broken ticketing industry thanks to her recent live performances, but many fans found a photo which resembled something related to cricket.

In the photo, she was performing and instead of looking like she was dancing, it looked like a load-up for a leg spinner. Simon Briggs, a journalist from the Telegraph, was the first to notice the resemblance and asked many people if they saw the resemblance as well.

This is the 2nd time the word cricket has found a connection with Taylor Swift. Some years ago she was a guest on The Graham Norton show, along with former English batter Kevin Pietersen. Pietersen spoke about his experience of Test cricket and how a scandal ruined a teammate’s last Test match. Swift, who was listening but confused due to his accent believed he was talking about a “chest match”. 

Netizens start spamming memes after Taylor Swift’s image goes viral 

Many fans found the resemblance hilarious, with them photoshopping her on a pitch. Many found resemblance with other chinamen bowlers in the past and some asked why she wasn’t a part of the IPL auction.

In the recently played ODI World Cup, 3 chinaman bowlers played. They were India’s Kuldeep Yadav, South African Tabraiz Shamshi and Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad. Yadav and Shamshi are currently facing each other with India touring South Africa, while Ahmad recently participated in the Abu Dhabi T10 competition. 

At the same time, Swift will continue with her Eras tour, which will resume in February. She will also be performing in the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Her movie of the tour was also recorded and shown in theaters.
