“Oh no ! I thought I blocked you,” Ravichandran Ashwin shuts down troll in style after match-winning knock against Bangladesh
After he was awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning unbeaten 42 runs, a Twitter user tried to troll him.
Ravichandran Ashwin
India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is known for his witty remarks and he often hit back at the trolls. After he was awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning unbeaten 42 runs in Mirpur (on Sunday, December 25), a Twitter user tried to troll him.
India won the match by three wickets following Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer’s resilient knocks. But the Twitter user suggested that India won the match because of luck. He said that Ashwin should hand the Player of the Match trophy to Mominul Haque who dropped his catch at short leg. “You should have handed this [trophy emoticon] to Mominul Haque, who dropped that dolly.. had he bagged it, India all out for 89 for sure.. @ashwinravi99,” wrote the user.
“Oh no ! I thought I blocked you, oh sorry that’s the other guy. what’s his name?? Yes Daniel Alexander that’s the name !! Imagine what you both would do if India dint play cricket,” Ashwin took a dig at the Twitter user.

Ravichandran Ashwin proved why he is one of Team’s most prized possessions
Ashwin proved why he is one of the best all-rounders in Test cricket. He and Shreyas Iyer took India from a horrible situation of 74/7 past the tricky 145-run target. Bangladeshi bowlers couldn’t break the 71-run stand and India went on to win the 2nd Test by three wickets to seal the series 2-0. They won the first Test in Chattogram by 188 runs.
“We didn’t have much batting left. It was one of these games where we let the game drift whenever we could have shut it off. Shreyas batted beautifully. Sometimes these situations you feel like you have to get ahead of things, they bowled good lines and I felt that we didn’t trust our defenses enough,” Ashwin said during the post-match presentation. He is the second quickest all-rounder in the world to have scored 3000-plus runs and scalped 400+ wickets in Test wicket before playing their 100th Test.
India were on the verge of collapse had not the duo saved them from an embarrassing defeat. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the 25-year-old Bangladeshi all-rounder was the man behind uprooting the wickets of Indian batsmen. But he will be the most disappointed because his fifer did help Bangladesh get an upper hand over India but Ashwin and Iyer snatched the victory.
