There were no ups and downs for Australia in the WTC Final so far. Steve Smith and Travis Head put Australia in the driver’s seat after their centuries took them to 469.

India on the other hand, struggled from the very start. They could do less with Ajinjka Rahane‘s 89, Shardul Thakur’s 51, and Ravindra Jadeja‘s 48, reaching only 296 in their first innings.

Australia in their second innings scored 123/4 and as mentioned already, they are trailing by 296 runs. Australia are expected to win this coveted cup if are able to bundle out India in the second innings. However, if India manage to save their wickets and play for a draw, and if the match is drawn, tied, or abandoned, then Australia and India will be declared joint WTC winners. Also, a Reserve Day is there on June 12 which can be used to make up for any loss of playtime.
