India’s beloved captain MS Dhoni is back on Instagram as he posted a video on the app after a gap of two years. On Wednesday (February 8), he shared a video of himself learning to plow his field in Ranchi with a tractor. He last shared a post back in January 2021.

Nice to learn something new but took way too long to finish the work,” Dhoni wrote in his Instagram post caption.

Last year during the Aazadi Ki Amrit Mahotsat week, when the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the countrymen to change their DPs (Display Picture) to tricolor, Dhoni, who is usually inactive on social media, logged in to the photo-sharing app and changed his DP to put the Indian flag which read: “I am blessed to be a Bhartiya” in Sanskrit, English, and Hindi.

Dhoni is India’s most successful captain and under him, India won all the major ICC tournaments- the T20 World Cup in 2007, ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013. Since his retirement on August 15 in 2020, Dhoni tried his hands on farming to grow organic crops.

The “Captain Cool” is currently enjoying his time off with his family and friends. He will walk onto the field during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and in all likelihood, he will be donning the yellow jersey of the Chennai Super Kings for the last time.

For this, he has started practicing in the nets as well. Several videos of training for IPL have already gone viral. Under Dhoni, CSK was crowned as champions four times.

Last year, just a couple of days before the start of IPL 2022, he stepped down from CSK captaincy, after which star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was made the leader. But as CSK had a poor show in the first half, Jadeja relinquished captaincy and Dhoni again took up the job.

There were rumors of a possible rift between Jadeja and CSK but they got quashed when Dhoni reportedly asked the franchise to retain Jadeja ahead of IPL 2023 auction. In the auction for IPL 2023, CSK made their biggest purchase when they roped in English star all-rounder Ben Stokes. The Yellow Jerseys will hope to return strongly after their disappointing season last year when they ended up at bottom of the points table, just above their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians.
