WATCH: Radha Yadav’s unique and unbelievable run out sends back Meg Lanning
Radha Yadav
Radha Yadav was in total disbelief when she saw that he had dismissed the Australian skipper Meg Lanning during the Commonwealth Games gold medal match at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday, August 7.
This happened in the 10th over when Radha Yadav bowled to Beth Mooney. Mooney had pushed tha ball back to the bowler and Radha collected it. Lanning, who was already out of the crease to get a single but Radha’s presence of mind helped her catch the ball and slide it to her left and between her legs, she threw it to the stumps.
When the umpire had gone upstairs, it was seen that Lanning’s bat was on the air when Radha hit the stumps and so the skipper walked back for 36 (off 26 balls). Radha’s reaction was epic when she saw she had dismissed the Aussie skipper. It needed something special to dismiss Lanning and Radha produced unbelievale efforts to do that.

Meanwhile, Lanning had won the toss and opted to bat first. With Mooney’s 61 runs off 41 balls and Lanning’s 36 runs off 26 balls, Australia set a decent target of 162 runs.
Indian openers- Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana– were sent back early. India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur scored the most runs for India with her 65 run soff 43 balls while Jemimah Rodrigues scored 33 runs off 33 balls.
The match didn’t stop before the penultimate over and in 19.3, Aussies were able to bowl out India on 152 runs to clinch a nine-run victory. India would have defeated the unconquerable Australia but the Women in Yellow never learned to face defeat and Meg Lanning’s Australia, with all the major titles to their name, added the Commenwealth gold medal too.
