The name Daejon Love is now resonating amid another NFL scandal. Even though the league, or the San Francisco 49ers, whom he led his victims to believe he was playing for, are not officially involved, it brings to light what can be done if some people are led to believe something based on social media content.
The 35-year-old and his 18-year-old manager defrauded 26 women of $1.3 million. This scandal came to light when the FBI arrested the two at Boise Airport in Idaho on August 24.
They had flown in to meet their next victims, which means that the number could have continued to go up had it not been for the alert individual who decided to inform authorities.
While most of the world is pinning the blame on the so-called wide receiver, Emmanuel Acho believes that this exposes a problem that has plagued professional athletes earning millions for the longest time.
Does this not expose the utter disgusting thirst that so many women have for professional athletes… He didn’t post as a pastor for a reason… What does it say about the culture that people are such gluttons for pro athletes, that if I throw on some jewelry, wear a nice watch, flash a Lamborghini, say I got a couple of cribs in South Beach, all of a sudden you will jump at the chance to be with me?

While discussing this on his show Speakeasy, the former linebacker reiterated that the flashy lifestyle pro athletes showcase is the easiest way to lure women. The world has enough scandals involving rich individuals. But Daejon Love proved that women from the lower tiers do fancy being with pro athletes who flaunt their newfound wealth.
Emmanuel Acho compares women going after pro athletes and Daejon Love’s scheme
Before concluding that women going after NFL and other professional athletes were the reason they fell into the trap laid out by Daejon Love, Emmanuel Acho detailed how different it is when a woman tries to get money from million-dollar earners.
I know women who can get $1.3 million from one man… Daejon’s just not as good as women are at doing it. He needed 26, he got caught.

The former FS1 analyst added that women have done similar things as the now-arrested fake 49ers player. They pose on social media showcasing a luxurious lifestyle, and then ask pro athletes to fund the lifestyle they previously could not afford.
Acho went on to detail how a woman can get half of what Daeojon Love collected from just a few pro athletes. His colleagues even brought up how women use child support to get money they never could have earned.
Lastly, the host pointed out that the reason Love was arrested was that there were so many women involved. If it was the other way around, women would get away with it without having to break a sweat.
Daejon Love’s mugshot appears
These arguments aside, women can breathe easy knowing that Daejon Love is no longer going to continue scamming them. It will also be good news for the NFL and the San Francisco 49ers that authorities stopped this before it blew out of proportion.

There have been many money-swindling scandals in the NFL, and none of them has left the league with a positive impact. Love’s scandal may not be astronomical when compared to others, but it was enough to bring the spotlight onto the league and the 49ers days before the 2026 season begins.
Now, after being booked into jail, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office released Love’s mugshot. The image shows him wearing the orange overalls, waiting to see what his fate will be.
