The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season so far has seen Carson Hocevar establishing himself as one of the most divisive figures of the sport. While everyone adores him for the superior race talent, the majority are frustrated with the over aggressive racing style the youngster relays on. The most recent drama involving Brad Keselowski has gotten the attention of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

On the latest episode of his Dale Jr. Download podcast, the Hall of Famer talked about a potential revenge from Brad Keselowski over the wreck and asserted that the 2012 champion knows how to handle things on his own. Personally, the veteran seems to be okay with the possibility of the Spire racer getting wrecked.

Brad Keselowski, I would say, is a good friend of mine, but we’re all big boys, and he puts that driver’s suit on, he knows he signed up for whatever may happen out there. And if he thinks this, he needs to go handle this. He will handle it. And if I were Brad, I would absolutely want some retribution. So, we’ll just have to see how it plays out.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.

Further talking about the drama, Dale Eranhardt Jr. insists that the critics of Carson Hocevar is overlooking the impact he is having on the sport and highlighted how the youngster himself is delivering the entertainment the sport needs. He also asserted that the sport needs four or five racers like the No:77 Chevy driver to grow the market.

But I mean, look, our sport needs this, whatever you want to call it. Drama, entertainment, controversy, whatever you want to call it. It needs it. And [Hocevar is] delivering it. I wish there were four or five more Hocevars in the field. Maybe if there were more of them, we wouldn’t be complaining as much.

Bubba Wallace spotter claims Carson Hocevar is wasting his talent

While Junior explained the positive side of Hocevar, Bubba Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft via his Door Bumper Clear podcast unloaded on him. He highlighted how the racer is seeking media attention and declared that he isn’t ready to let the aggression slide.

I can’t decide if I want to unload or just laugh it off. He wants attention. I heard Denny’s show yesterday where he said, ‘I’m not giving him the clip he wants.’ I’m going to give him the clip he wants, because he’s doing dumb ****. I’m going to call him out on it.

Freddie Kraft said.

Further talking about the point, he admitted that Hocevar is destroying the opportunity to be the best driver on the track with his aggression instead of making moves and taking advantage of his ability. He hates the youngster for not taking things seriously and approaching it as a game.

My biggest problem is that I think he could be one of the best drivers in our sport. Because I think if he just ****** focused on driving the race car to the best of its ability, he could be as great as he wants to be. My anger isn’t because he spun Brad out or did a stupid interview. My anger is he’s wasting how talented he is playing a ****** game. It’s a game to him.

Freddie Kraft added.

The comments from the veteran NASCAR figure are on point and a significant group of fans in the sport would feel the same about it. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the upcoming days.
