The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season has witnessed history, with 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick becoming the only racer to win the first three races of the season. With his win last Sunday at Kansas, he also became the first ever racer since Dale Eranhardt Sr. to win five out of the first nine races of the season.

This has caused some conspiracy theories to come up and Dale Eranhardt Jr. isn’t happy about. Some Cup fans claimed that NASCAR is fixing the 2026 season in favor of Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing as part of the charter lawsuit that was settled last year. Junior hates the claims that questions the team who is winning on merits.

There are a lot of people who think that there’s some sort of conspiracy just because the guy won a lot of races. That’s not happening. There’s no way in hell.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said on his podcast.

He pointed out that the sport would never risk its integrity to let someone that sued them win races and in a complex sport like NASCAR it is impossible to plot something like that without it getting leaked. No one working behind the scenes in the sport or for 23XI Racing will be loyal enough to keep such a big conspiracy under the raps.

There’s no way in hell that NASCAR would risk the integrity of the entire sport. There would be so many people in on this. I’m talking about people who are just making a base salary. You think that guy gives a damn, and he’s the one keeping the secret? Some people out there really think so.

Further talking about the point, Dale Earnhardt Jr., highlighted how Tyler Reddick isn’t winning races by dominating. Instead, the No:45 team has found a way to consistently run top 5 and place themselves in the right moments to win. Junior declared that 23XI is doing the same level of cheating, exploring the gray areas of rule book, as every other team in the garage.

They’re not going to races and dominating. They’re running top five, and when something goes down at the end, he’s the kind of guy that’s going to get up on the wheel and make something pretty impressive happen…I don’t think they’re cheating more than anyone else. Everyone cheats. Everyone.

On the same podcast, the HOF talked about the designing direction NASCAR is taking with the Next-Gen cars. He admitted that the competitiveness that once defined the current era is slowly fading, with a handful of teams having the upper hand while the mid-field teams struggle with mediocrity.

It’s more and more into F1 style where it’s like this organization has the speed, right? Yeah. And so, if you’re in an organization that’s struggling, you show up, and you feel like chances are you’re not going to have seen a ton of progress in the last five days. You’re going to show up to the racetrack and struggle. And if you’re a 15th place car, you’re going to be a 15th place car most weekends. Yeah.

That’s the Formula One style of car development and the JR Motorsport co-owner hate the sport is heading in that direction. Two times champion Kyle Busch had also made similar claims about the car recently, highlighting the community is concerned about the future.
