Dan Quinn and Mike McCarthy

A much promising season for the Dallas Cowboys ended in a disappointing manner as they lost at home in the NFC Wildcard Game against the San Francisco 49ers where they were the heavy favorites coming into the game due to their excellent roster and great performances throughout the season which gave the fans the belief that this can turn into something big.

After their shocking loss to the 49ers, uncertainty began brewing about the position of the coaches of the Dallas Cowboys as Mike McCarthy was under huge pressure with reports claiming that he might be fired and the defensive coordinator of the Cowboys- Dan Quinn was the subject of interest among many teams in the league for the position of the head coach.

After the position of both the head coach Mike McCarthy and the Defensive Coordinator, Dan Quinn was confirmed that they will be staying with the Cowboys for the next season, Dan Quinn released a statement and said, “I have unfinished business here.”

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys defense this season was a force to reckon with as they led the NFL in takeaways (34) in Quinn’s first season where players like Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons were a highlighting factor of their defense, with Diggs leading the league in interceptions and Parsons in just his rookie season making many people around the league believe that he is the best defender in the league after winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

This Dallas team is capable of doing something special and has all the tools required to do it and they just need their players to come up big in big moments to go on to win the Super Bowl which is the ceiling of the talent around this team.
