Daniel Ricciardo has been close to getting replaced at RB and it looks like he might be close to getting the boot. Since returning to the team last season, Ricciardo has not been able to regain his form. In 2024, he only scored 12 points, putting his career in danger.

RB is expected to announce Yuki Tsunoda’s teammate for 2025 after the Singapore GP, with Liam Lawson being the top choice for the seat. Daniel Ricciardo stated that if his career ended today with Liam Lawson taking his seat, he would feel very proud of everything he had achieved in his career.

Ricciardo also mentioned that he would not feel fully satisfied with his achievements. The main reason he joined F1 was to become a world champion, which he hasn’t achieved.

If it ended today, I would be proud of what I’ve done. But on the same note, you’re never fully satisfied because the reason I got into Formula 1 was to try to become world champion.
Daniel Ricciardo told CNN.com

Ricciardo stated that becoming a world champion is something he will keep trying to achieve until the day he retires from Formula 1. The 35-year-old made it clear that even though he hasn’t reached that goal yet, he’s not giving up.

That’s something I’ll obviously still try and achieve until the day I retire.

Daniel Ricciardo asserts not wanting to be moving around too much after rumors of getting replaced

Daniel Ricciardo said that at this stage of his career, he was seeking more stability within the team. He hopes to stay with RB for the remaining years of his Formula 1 career. Since leaving Red Bull in 2018, he has been frequently switching teams and moving around, which he now wants to change.

The 35-year-old believes that driving for one team for a long time may impact his performance positively. This would help him in achieving his goal of becoming a world champion.

I’d say at this point [I’m] probably looking a bit more for that stability and just try to set something down for these last few years of my career. I don’t really want to be moving around too much anymore.
Daniel Ricciardo stated

Certainly, Ricciardo is looking forward to performing better at the upcoming Singapore GP, which, as reports say, will most likely be his last. Fans hope that if this is indeed the final race for him, it will go smoothly without any challenges. They want to see him finish his career with the kind of success he has been known for throughout his time in the sport.
